The next day, Taehyung and Jungkook agree to meet after school at the library to discuss schedules for their unfortunate tutoring arrangement.

The goal was to peacefully come up with a plan and leave.

However, that plan did not seem to be in either Taehyung or Jungkook's horoscopes today.

"Why can't you just teach your stupid algebra on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday?" Jungkook questions, clearly frustrated.

"Like I told you, my 'stupid' algebra can't be taught on those days because they all end with 'day,'" Taehyung says matter-of-factly.

"For God's sake, Kim, ALL days of the week end with 'day.' So can you please stop being a dumbass and cooperate for Christ's sake?" Jungkook snaps, exasperated.

"Whatever. If it's that easy, why don't you teach your essay bullshit on those days?" Taehyung asks, completely ignoring Jungkook's earlier statement.

"Well, your 'essay bullshit' isn't exactly as simple as it sounds, Kim," Jungkook retorts with a scoff.

"You think writing a paper is just piecing together a few sentences and then quitting. But it actually takes time and effort to actually make something worthwhile," Jungkook continues, his expression softening slightly as he talks about his favorite subject.

For a moment, Taehyung is stunned by Jungkook's admiration for English. He really did look less like he wanted to start a war with Taehyung this way.

He didn't know Jungkook could even make expressions like that—he always seemed so uptight.

"Not that you would know anything about that," Jungkook adds bitterly, snapping Taehyung out of his thoughts.

"Wow, excuse me for not being as gifted in the art of writing as you are, Jeon," Taehyung retorts sarcastically. "Not all of us are as naturally gifted as you with your perfect grammar and flawless sentence structure, y'know," he adds with a roll of his eyes.

Jungkook's eyes widen slightly. "Wait—I didn't mean it like tha—"

"Anyways, if you think it'll take more time and effort, you should take those three days, and I'll do Tuesdays and Wednesdays," Taehyung says, brushing off Jungkook's attempt to explain.

"Right... but I also need time to learn math and stuff, so..." Jungkook mutters, scratching the back of his neck, clearly embarrassed. He doesn't like admitting his weaknesses in front of others—even if it's indirectly.

"Fine, one less day for me to have to learn, I guess," Taehyung shrugs.

Jungkook exhales, relieved they've finally come to an agreement.

Though, if this continues, tutoring will be quite a wild ride.

Now that they've settled the schedule--Taehyung tutoring on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays and Jungkook on Tuedays and Thursdays--both boys are eager to leave the library.

Taehyung plans to go home with Jimin, while Jungkook is set to ride with Yoongi.

What neither of them knows is that Yoongi and Jimin had been conversing outside during their "little" meeting.

30 minutes earlier:

Yoongi and Jimin had come separately with the two boys, who had promised the meeting would be short since they were only setting schedules.

Fifteen minutes later, the boys were still nowhere to be seen.

Yoongi, shivering from the autumn cold, curses Jungkook and his immature ass, probably arguing the hell out of poor Taehyung.

Jimin, on the other hand, is unbothered by the cold. He knew Taehyung would pull a stunt like this, so he came well-prepared with a cozy, warm jacket.

As Jimin looks around, he notices Yoongi shivering.

"Here," Jimin says, holding out his hat. "You look cold."

Yoongi looks at Jimin like he's grown two heads, but takes the hat nonetheless.

"Thanks," Yoongi mumbles monotonously.

"I suppose we should get comfortable with each other. We'll be seeing a lot of each other from now on," Jimin says with a laugh.

Yoongi only nods in response.

"Not much of a talker, are we?" Jimin teases playfully.

Yoongi nods again, making Jimin laugh.

Yoongi smiles faintly. He likes Jimin's laugh, it's kinda pretty.

End of Flashback

Taehyung and Jungkook exit the library, schedules finalized but grumpy looks stuck to their faces.

"Let's go," both boys grumble simultaneously as they head toward their respective friends' cars.

Yoongi and Jimin exchange knowing looks and follow after the boys.

"Great. Only took," Yoongi glances at his watch, "45 minutes," he mutters under his breath.

A/N: This was a pretty short chapter. I'd make it longer, but I don't exactly know how to without combining my other, already pre-planned, chapters 😅
