Warning: there is closed-door spice. I will give a warning before and after.

Taehyung couldn't help but notice how worn out Jungkook had looked lately. His usual spark seemed dimmed.

Taehyung guessed it was by schoolwork, his job at the café, and the constant pressure to keep up with everything. They had different class schedules, and Taehyung, with his slightly lighter workload, had more free time to think about how much he missed Jungkook's full attention.

The two'd spend hours hanging out after school. Or simply lazing around while Taehyung strummed his guitar he started to learn, while Jungkook doodled aimlessly. Those days were gone, and Taehyung really missed them.

Now, their time together was brief—hurried walks to class or home, during lunch breaks, quick goodnight texts before Jungkook inevitably fell asleep at his desk.

Even on the rare occasions Jungkook didn't have work, and Taehyung had him all to himself, he was always hunched over his textbooks, scribbling notes or staring at his laptop frustratedly.

Taehyung had tried to help.

"Let me take a shift at the café for you," he'd suggested one day while they walked to campus.

Jungkook shot him an incredulous look. "You can't just walk into my workplace and start taking orders. They'll think you're insane."

"Well, I am insane," Taehyung joked. "Insanely in love with you."

Jungkook had rolled his eyes but smiled despite his exhaustion. "I appreciate it, but I've got this. It's my responsibility."

Of course. Leave it to Jungkook to work himself to the bone and not recieve help from others, even when he was struggling.

Taehyung nodded, but his heart ached a little. He admired Jungkook's determination, but it was hard watching him struggle, especially when he had the power to help.

Later, Taehyung had another idea. "What if I helped you with some of your homework?"

Jungkook gave him a look filled with amusement and disbelief. "And let you do all the work? How would I ever pass the tests then?"

"Well, you've got a genius boyfriend who's willing to help," Taehyung teased, wiggling his eyebrows.

But Jungkook had only laughed and shaken his head. "Thanks, but no thanks, Tae. I need to do it myself."

Taehyung sighed, flopping onto his bed one evening as he thought.

He missed Jungkook.

Sure, they still talked and texted, but it wasn't the same. He missed their lazy afternoons, their playful teasing and jokes, and the way Jungkook's eyes would light up when he was excited about something.

He needed a plan. A big one.

And, of course, he'd need backup.

Taehyung immediately dialed Hoseok, putting him on speaker while he paced his room.

"What's up, lover boy?" Hoseok answered, voice bright and teasing.

"Hobi, I need your help," Taehyung said, launching into an explanation of Jungkook's hectic schedule and being frustrated at barely getting any quality time with him.

"Sounds like he's burning the candle at both ends," Hoseok said thoughtfully. "Poor kookie."

"Exactly," Taehyung said. "And I want to help, but he won't let me do anything directly."

"So...you want to be sneaky about it?" Hoseok asked, mischievous in his voice.

"Obviously."

"I'm in," Hoseok said instantly. "What's the plan?"
