hobi's hope for love

Since the trial, the gang has gone back to normal schedules. At this point, they're just desperate for the school year to be completed. Regardless of their impatience, Taehyung and Jungkook still enjoy their tuition sessions, which sometimes take place at each other's houses or the library.

One day, Jimin calls everyone, but only Taehyung, Jungkook, and Yoongi, who was on call with him, join.

"You guys," Jimin begins, voice slightly different on the phone. "I've been watching Hoseok for days, I can't with him anymore." he says, exasperated.

Taehyung and Jungkook were tutoring together, so only Taehyung answered the group call, angling the camera towards Jungkook too. Taehyung raises an eyebrow, Jungkook asks "Why? What's wrong?" with a confused expression.

"You've been watching Hoseok for days?" Yoongi repeated on call on Jimin's end, voice laced with jealousy. "Wow, babe. Didn't know I had competition. Should I start tap dancing to get your attention, or...?"

The couple had been in their honeymoon stage for all of two months before they began bickering like a married couple like now.

Taehyung snickered at the remark, earning a playful shove from Jungkook. On the other end of the line, Jimin let out an exaggerated groan.

"Yoongi, love, no." Jimin said with a laugh. "It's not like that. Hoseok's love life is just... a disaster, okay? Someone has to intervene before he trips over his own feet—again."

Jimin's voice became more expressive as he launched into his explanation. "You guys, you don't understand. I've been watching him hopelessly watch Ji-woo for weeks now. Weeks! He can't even string two sentences together when he's around. Yesterday, I literally watched him drop an entire tray of drinks because he smiled at him. And he apologized to the tray. The tray!"

Jungkook burst out laughing, while Taehyung leaned closer to the phone, intrigued. "So... what are you gonna do about it?" Taehyung asked, entertained.

Jimin sighed dramatically. "I'm staging an intervention. Operation Hobi Gets His Man starts tomorrow, and you're all helping. Matter of fact, I'm going to get Namjin on this too. They're wayy more experienced with this love shit anyway."

Yoongi groaned softly. "And here I thought your 'Operation' would involve paying attention to me for five seconds."

"Oh my god, Yoongi!" Jimin exclaimed, his tone torn between affection and exasperation. "You'll be fine for one day. Now focus—we need a strategy!"

Taehyung and Jungkook exchanged amused glances. Jungkook smirked. "This is going to be fun."

They group agree to meet up at Namjin's house tomorrow after class for Hoseok and his strategy. Of course, Hoseok would know about this, so they decided to invite him too.

**Time skip to the next day**

Almost half the gang forgot about the plan for Hobi and Ji-woo after the trial. Not intentionally, though. They were just so busy with projects and assignments, they barely had time to talk to one another.

Today, though, that was going to change. The boys arrive to the Namjin's house, eager to form a plan. Hoseok is the last to arrive, possibly because of his nervousness.

Now that everyone's settled down, Jimin begins. "Thanks for coming, everyone. I know we've all been hella busy, me included, but  we have to put Hobi out of his misery!" he exclaims, pointing to an awkwardly laughing Hoseok.
