It was Saturday evening and guess you had didn't had a babysitter yet. Right, it was me, cause I really had no clue, who I could ask as everyone, who I trusted even a little, would be at that dinner tonight.
Luckily someone had prepared a suit for me in the hotel room, so I didn't had to bother about that, only needing to put it on. Which I had done in the last ten minutes, now looking into the mirror, brushing over the cloths.
It was a casual dark blue suit with a white long-sleeve dress shirt underneath as the sponsors were a bit more fancy so the dress code for this dinner was quite high. From the room I heard Luka and Lio running around, playing with each other.
I sighed and looked into the bathroom mirror again, brushing through my hair, trying with some gel that I had found in here, to make myself look more presentable. The make up from the plane once again covered up the dark rings under my eyes.
My phone vibrated and I saw a text of Daniel that the taxi would pick us up in 15 minutes. My eyes once again wandered over to the door that lead into the bedroom. I couldn't leave them here.
The only option was to take them with me. But on one hand they didn't had such fancy cloths and on the other, Christian would kill me. Since my break down on the toilet he was looking at me a bit differently.
He was still nice and asked how I was, but he also seemed annoyed by my excuses and delays. He also wasn't too please that Luka and Lio were always around, even in meetings or other appointments I had.
"Luka, Lio, stop running!" I said as I walked out of the bathroom, going over to the suitcase to pick out some cloths for them.
"You look funny." the younger boy giggled and pulled on my suit jacket.
"Are we going with you to that dinner?" Luka asked and looked at me with big eyes.
"I guess so, there's no other option." I sighed and gestured them to change.
"Why, we can al" the older kid started as it suddenly knocked on my hotel room door.
Thinking that I would be Daniel I told the kids to change as I walked over, opening the door a moment later. My jaw dropped and I froze instantly as I saw the Monegasque standing in front of me.
He also seemed surprised as his eyes wandered from my head to my toes and back up again while he bit his bottom lip.
"Y... You look... wow... I mean, I..." he stuttered and I immediately felt a heat storming through me at his words.
But before he could finish his sentence, two little creatures squeezed themself pass me and hugged the driver's legs and hip.
"Charles!" "Ferrari!" they beamed happily.
I made me smile slightly even though I was still hurt from before. Because of that I also had no clue what to say.
"What are you doing here?" Luka asked and looked up at Charles.
"I wanted to talk to your uncle." he slowly started and I finally found my words.
"Go back change." I said to them and luckily they followed my words and ran off again.
"Look Max, I'm here to apologize. I know what I said wasn't nice, but I just was confused. I had no idea what I was doing and I just, I don't know. I am deeply sorry if I have hurt you with my words and actions."
"I... It's okay." I mumbled and looked down, quite intimidated by his self confidence, something I had back then, but somehow lost it.
Then some moments of silence followed as no one seemed to know what to say.
