Y/N could not believe her luck. She was hired immediatly after 5 minutes talking with Hawks. Also her first patrol will start with Mr. Explosive.
Y/N stepped into the vibrant main office of the hero agency, heart pounding with a mix of excitement and nerves. She had officially been hired—a moment she had dreamed of ever since she decided to forge her own path as a hero.
Scanning the room, her gaze landed on a familiar figure leaning against the wall, arms crossed and an unmistakable scowl on his face. It was Bakugo. She made her way over, feeling a flutter of anticipation and anxiety as she approached him.
"You made it! Congratulations on getting hired!" Bakugo teased lightly, though his tone was classic Bakugo—brash and straightforward.
"Thanks! I'm excited to be here," Y/N replied with a genuine smile, her nervousness dissipating slightly in his presence. "I can't wait to get started on our first patrol!"
Bakugo raised an eyebrow, a smirk playing on his lips. "First patrol, huh? Just make sure you don't hold me back."
"Oh, I think I can keep up just fine, dynamite," Y/N shot back, an amused glint in her eye.
He chuckled, the tension easing between them. "We'll see about that. We're supposed to head out soon, so let's get a brief from the supervisor."
As they gathered in the briefing room, the agency leader quickly outlined the mission: patrol a neighborhood that had recently reported suspicious activity. Y/N felt her heart race as she listened, thrill building at the prospect of being a hero in action.
Once the briefing concluded, Y/N and Bakugo suited up for the patrol. The atmosphere buzzed with anticipation, and Y/N couldn't help but feel both nervous and excited. With each passing moment, she felt a sense of confidence build within her.
"Remember, we're looking for anything out of the ordinary. Stay alert," Bakugo reiterated as they stepped outside into the late afternoon sun.
"Got it! I'll keep my shadows ready," Y/N replied, pulling her mask into place, her powers tingling at her fingertips.
As they navigated the streets, Y/N noticed the vibrant life around them—a stark contrast to the looming sense of danger they were tasked to investigate. They reached the quieter part of the neighborhood, where the tension in the air became palpable.
Suddenly, Bakugo stopped, scanning the surroundings. "Something feels off here. Keep your eyes peeled."
Just then, a sudden commotion erupted from an alley nearby, high-pitched screams slicing through the evening air. Y/N's heart raced as she exchanged glances with Bakugo before sprinting toward the sound.
"Let's go!" he shouted, and without hesitation, they charged into the alley.
As they entered the alley, they found a woman cornered by a villain brandishing knives, his expression twisted with menace. Y/N's heart raced at the sight.
"Get away from her!" Y/N shouted as she stepped forward, shadows swirling around her.
The villain smirked, flicking a knife in her direction. "And what are you going to do? You think some shadows will protect you?"
In a flash, Bakugo jumped in front of Y/N, ready to defend her. "You picked the wrong target, jerk!" His explosion rang out, stunning the villain and deflecting the incoming knife.
Y/N seized the opportunity, her shadows moving in an instant, coiling around the villain's arms and pulling him off balance. "Now!" she yelled to Bakugo.
