The trio arrived at the beach, the sun shining brightly overhead. Y/N hopped out of the car, her excitement palpable as the salty sea breeze tousled her hair. "This is going to be amazing!" she exclaimed, bouncing on her toes.
Bakugo stepped out next, already looking annoyed. "Can we just get this over with? I didn't come all this way to sunbathe."
"Oh come on, Katsuki! It's a beach vacation! You're supposed to enjoy it!" Y/N teased, her playful spirit shining as she ran toward the waves.
Shoto, still holding onto his usual calm demeanor, stepped out and adjusted his sunglasses. "Try to take it easy, Bakugo. We're here to have fun."
As they set up their beach area, Y/N quickly changed into her swimsuit—a colorful and cheerful design that reflected her bubbly personality, while Bakugo wore his usual swimming trunks, radiating an air of confidence. Shoto opted for a simple black swim outfit that contrasted with his calm persona.
Their setup complete, Y/N turned toward the ocean, excitement twinkling in her eyes. "Let's go for a swim!" she called over her shoulder.
"Not until after we've played some beach volleyball!" Bakugo declared, pointing toward the makeshift net set up nearby. "We need to show these beach bums who the real heroes are!"
"Challenge accepted!" Y/N replied, her competitive spirit flaring up. "But remember, I'm pretty good!"
As they gathered around the volleyball net, the group of fellow beachgoers glanced at the trio, clearly interested in the impending match. Y/N, Shoto, and Bakugo quickly became the center of attention, each one reflecting their unique styles and confidence.
The match commenced with enthusiasm. Bakugo served the ball with explosive power, sending it flying over the net. Y/N positioned herself perfectly, using her agility to leap and return the serve with a quick volley.
"Nice shot!" Shoto complimented, moving fluidly to assist in the back row, his focus sharp as they communicated effortlessly—a testament to their developing team dynamics.
They rallied back and forth, laughter echoing across the beach with each successful point scored. Y/N's playful nature shone as she encouraged them both, shouting funny quips like, "Let's show them some shadow power!"
But just as they gained momentum, Bakugo, in a burst of competitive spirit, went for an ambitious spike. Instead of landing gracefully, he tripped over his own feet, crashing into the sand and sending the ball into the wrong direction.
"Ugh! Stupid sand!" Bakugo groaned, brushing grains off himself as Y/N and Shoto dissolved into laughter.
Y/N wiped her eyes, unable to contain her amusement. "You look like a beached whale, Bakugo!"
"For a supposed hero, you sure are bad at this!" Shoto chuckled, shaking his head, unable to hide his smile.
Bakugo glared playfully at them both. "This isn't over! Just wait until I get a real hit in!"
As the sun began to dip lower in the sky, casting warm hues across the beach, the trio decided to take a break from volleyball. They settled down on their beach towels, laughter still bubbling from their earlier antics.
"Okay, you both realize that I'm going to claim victory overall, right?" Y/N said, leaning back with a playful grin.
"Yeah, right," Bakugo replied, rolling his eyes but grinning despite himself. "I'll show you how a real champion plays."
"Just like you showed us how to faceplant?" Shoto teased, raising an eyebrow.
The teasing continued until the sun began to set, painting the sky with beautiful oranges and pinks. As night settled in, they took a quick dip in the ocean to cool off, the water refreshing against their sun-kissed skin.
