Y/N strolled through the grocery store, her basket filled with items for the week ahead. She was deeply immersed in thoughts about her friends and upcoming missions when she turned a corner and nearly collided with someone.
"Oh! I'm so sorry!" she exclaimed, looking up to see a smiling woman in front of her. Y/N's eyes widened in recognition. "Mitsuki Bakugo? Katsuki's mom!"
"Why, yes! And you must be Y/N!" Mitsuki replied, her voice warm and welcoming. "I've heard so much about you from Katsuki!"
Y/N felt a rush of excitement mixed with nervousness. "Oh, really? All good things, I hope?"
"Of course! He talks about how much he respects you and your shadow manipulation powers. I'm glad to finally meet you in person!" Mitsuki said, her smile broadening.
Just then, a man with a distinct presence joined them—Masaru Bakugo, Katsuki's father. "What's going on here?" he asked, raising an eyebrow as he took in the scene.
"Just chatting with Y/N!" Mitsuki beamed, clearly excited. "You remember Katsuki's friend from the agency?"
"Yes, yes," Masaru said, his tone warm but somewhat reserved. "Good to meet you."
"Nice to meet you too!" Y/N replied, feeling a bit shy. "I'm just doing some grocery shopping."
Mitsuki's eyes gleamed with mischief as she leaned in. "You know what's interesting? I think you might be the love of my son's life!"
Y/N blinked, taken aback. "What? That's—"
"Oh, don't play coy with me!" Mitsuki interrupted, her excitement bubbling over. "I've seen how he talks about you. It's like he's got a crush. You must come over for dinner!"
"Dinner? At your place?" Y/N stammered, her mind racing with a mix of nerves and excitement.
"Absolutely! I'll make sure we have plenty of spicy food to see what he's really made of!" Mitsuki replied, her eyes sparkling with enthusiasm. "What do you say?"
Y/N glanced around, catching Masaru's approving smile, and nodded eagerly. "I'd love to! Thank you for inviting me."
As they continued their conversation, Mitsuki's gaze darted back to the grocery aisle. "I could use your help with something. Come here; I want to show you something."
Y/N followed Mitsuki as they edged closer to a shelf lined with baby food. "Did you know that Katsuki was the most powerful spitting toddler in town?" Mitsuki laughed. "He used to throw tantrums and send things flying across the room."
Y/N couldn't help but giggle. "Really?"
"Oh yes! We still have those videos," Masaru chimed in, his face hiding a smile as he recalled the memories.
Mitsuki nodded enthusiastically. "I have baby pictures that would blow your mind! You've got to see them when you come over!"
Just then, Bakugo appeared in the aisle, narrowly avoiding running into them. "What are you doing here, Mom? You're not buying more weird stuff, are you?" he said, a hint of annoyance in his voice.
Mitsuki, undeterred, smiled widely. "Just having a chat with Y/N! Did you know she's coming to dinner with us?"
Bakugo's eyes widened, and he took a step back, looking genuinely bewildered. "Wait, dinner? You didn't discuss this with me!"
"Oh, I didn't know I needed your approval, Katsuki!" Mitsuki replied cheekily. "You seem to be busy all the time, so I'm taking the opportunity!"
"Whatever. Just don't drag me into this!" Bakugo growled, trying to maintain his tough demeanor but clearly flustered at the thought of Y/N meeting his parents.
