Y/N stood in the living room of their new apartment, hands on her hips as she surveyed the chaos that surrounded them. Boxes were stacked high, cluttering every corner of the room, the remnants of their hurried packing still evident.
"Alright, team! Time to turn this place into a home!" Y/N declared, her dorky enthusiasm lighting up the room.
Bakugo, who had been wrestling with a particularly stubborn box, shot her a glare. "Can you keep it down? Some of us are trying to focus!"
"Oh come on, Katsuki! Just think how great it'll look once we're done!" Y/N replied, determination in her voice as she pulled out some cushions from a nearby box.
Shoto, unpacking his belongings at a steady pace, interjected, "We should really have a plan for this. Arranging everything without coordination will only make the process more chaotic."
"See? Shoto gets it!" Y/N said, winking at him while tossing a pillow toward Bakugo. "Chaos can't be our best friend here!"
"Chaos can go right out the window!" Bakugo grumbled, accidentally dropping the box he was holding. "Now everything's more mixed up!"
Y/N burst into laughter. "Just consider it a bonding experience! This is practice for how we'll deal with enemies in the field: teamwork!"
"More like a disaster in the making," Bakugo shot back, but a hint of amusement crept into his tone.
With a playful expression, Y/N began to dig through the boxes, pulling out decorations. "We need to make this place ours! How about we start with some art? I have some hand-drawn pieces of my shadows I'd love to hang!"
"Sure, but let's not hang them immediately," Shoto said, studying a vibrant drawing. "We need to see how they fit into the space first."
"Fit? Something like my shadows fit everywhere!" Y/N teased, passionately defending her artistic flair as she leaned over the couch to hang her drawing.
Bakugo rolled his eyes, joining them on the couch. "How about we not turn this into a gallery but keep with a sleek aesthetic?" He reached out to pull a different framed picture off the couch and held it against the wall. "This looks better, don't you think?"
"But this one is way cooler!" she protested, gesturing toward her drawing. "And besides, who wants to live in a sterile environment anyway?"
"You'd be surprised." Bakugo smirked, leaning in closer, smirking with confidence. "A little cleanliness never hurt anyone."
"Except for a dork like me!" Y/N said dramatically, throwing her hands in the air. "I thrive in a little mess! And you'll love it once we're settled in."
With that, she stepped back, hands on her hips, a determined glint in her eye as she regarded their various arrangements. "I mean, how about we just make it fun? We need a place that expresses who we are!"
Just then, she turned her back, misjudging the space around her as she aimed to pick something from the floor to hand to Shoto. In a self-proclaimed clumsy moment, she stumbled, nearly tumbling over the couch, but Shoto quickly reached out to steady her.
"Careful!" he said softly, inching closer to her. His fingers wrapped around her arm, and their eyes met in a brief moment of unspoken connection.
"Thanks, Shoto. I didn't plan on being the graceful one in this trio," Y/N replied, an embarrassed smile lighting up her face.
"You're just charming in your own way," Shoto replied, the warmth of the moment making his heart race slightly.
"Charming? That's the best compliment you could give her!" Bakugo scoffed, but there was an undertone of teasing. "Maybe her dorkiness is just her hero quirk."
As they continued to bicker, Y/N caught Bakugo rolling his eyes. "Admit it, you love having me around, even when I'm a dork," she said, grinning as she leaned closer to him.
"Shut up!" Bakugo grumbled, the corners of his mouth tugging up involuntarily.
After finally settling on arrangements after playful arguments, they plopped down onto the couch, ready for a well-earned break. The energy was comfortable, their playful rivalry giving way to soft teasing.
Y/N leaned her head against Shoto's shoulder and Bakugo's arm brushed against hers. It felt easy, natural, and safe.
"This is nice," Y/N said softly, glancing at both of them. "Here's to our new home and whatever adventures await!"
As they exchanged soft smiles and shared laughter, Y/N felt a warmth envelop her, knowing they were building something special together. Each of them was unique but bonded through their quirks, creating a space that genuinely felt like home.
"Guess we're all going to survive living together after all," Bakugo said, attempting to mask the sincerity beneath his teasing tone.
"Totally! Just be ready for more shadow antics!" Y/N joked, plopping down onto the couch like a dork, causing everyone to erupt into laughter again.
