Y/N stood nervously outside the meeting room, taking a deep breath as she prepared to enter. The sounds of laughter and chatter from inside made her heart race with excitement and anxiety. This was it—she was finally meeting the rest of her new teammates from Class 1-A.
As she pushed the door open, the room fell silent for a moment, and then the atmosphere erupted into laughter and chatter once again. The sight was overwhelming: familiar faces from her time in UA, all smiling and filled with warmth.
"Y/N!" Midoriya exclaimed, rushing over to greet her. "We've been waiting for you! Welcome to the team!"
"Yeah! It's great to finally see you here!" Ochako added, her eyes sparkling with enthusiasm as she joined Midoriya. "We heard so much about you!"
"Thanks! I'm excited to be here," Y/N replied, her nervousness melting in the warmth of their welcomes.
"Join us!" Kirishima called from across the room, waving her over to a table that held an array of snacks and drinks. "We were just talking about some of our wildest missions!"
As Y/N stepped into the room, she grasped the familiar faces of her old classmates: the stoic Shoto, the bubbly Ochako, and Kaminari, whose energy lit up the room. Seeing them all together filled her with reassurance.
"We're glad you're here," Kaminari said, grinning. "You're going to fit right in with all of us! And don't worry, we're not as scary as Bakugo makes us seem!"
"That's true! Though Bakugo can be intense, he's got a good heart," Midoriya added sincerely. "We're really happy to have you with us, Y/N."
"Just don't get on his bad side," Y/N laughed, glancing at Bakugo, who was leaning against the wall, arms crossed and a slight smirk on his face, listening to the conversation. "I've heard stories already!"
Bakugo rolled his eyes, but Y/N could see the spark of amusement in his expression. "It's not that bad. Just don't make me repeat myself."
The group erupted into laughter again, and Y/N felt a sense of belonging wash over her. This was what she had been searching for—a team that embraced her quirks and spirit.
As they settled down to share stories, Y/N shared her experiences before arriving at the agency, including her challenges and her hopes. They listened intently, encouraging her and offering their support as she spoke.
"You know, you're pretty impressive," Ochako said after Y/N finished. "Even coming from a difficult past, you're here and ready to make a change!"
"Absolutely! Your resilience is something we can all learn from," Midoriya chimed in, encouragement lacing his voice.
"Thanks, guys! It means a lot," Y/N replied, her heart swelling with gratitude. "I just want to be the kind of hero who really makes a difference."
As the conversation continued, Bakugo interjected, "Just remember, making a difference doesn't mean you have to save the world overnight. Steady steps count too."
"Right!" Y/N said, her eyes sparkling with determination. "It's all about growth and learning, just like all of you have."
Kirishima grinned, leaning in. "You know what? We should celebrate your first day here with some games! We've got an epic board game night planned next week. You should come!"
"I'd love to!" Y/N exclaimed. "You all make this look so fun. I'm definitely up for it!"
As the meeting room buzzed with enthusiasm and laughter, Y/N felt an overwhelming sense of joy. She was surrounded by people who genuinely cared, who accepted her for who she was. It was clear that she had found her place among heroes—and she couldn't wait to embark on this journey with all of them.
Just as Y/N settled comfortably into the group, laughter spilling around her, the door swung open again. Shoto Todoroki stepped inside, his signature calm demeanor contrasting with the vibrant energy of the room. The moment he walked in, the atmosphere shifted subtly—everyone turned their attention toward him, expressions brightening.
"Shoto!" Midoriya called out, waving enthusiastically. "You made it! We're just getting started here!"
"Hey," Shoto replied, his voice steady as he walked toward the group. He spotted Y/N among the familiar faces and felt a flicker of warmth at the sight of her smiling brightly.
"Nice to see you again, Shoto!" Y/N greeted, her enthusiasm palpable. "We were just sharing stories and bonding. I'm really starting to feel at home!"
Shoto nodded, a small smile breaking through his usually serious facade. "I'm glad to hear that. You belong here."
Bakugo, leaning back against the wall with his arms crossed, couldn't help but chime in. "And here I thought you were going to be late, ice prince."
Shoto shot Bakugo a sideways glance, a hint of amusement glinting in his eyes. "I'm on time; you're just early to judge."
Kirishima, never one to miss an opportunity for laughter, clutched his stomach and laughed heartily. "The rivalry is strong in this room! We're going to need popcorn for all of this!"
Y/N joined in the laughter, her heart feeling warm at the increasing camaraderie. "I think I'll fit right in! There's never a dull moment with you all!"
As they continued their banter, Shoto settled into the space, observing the dynamics at play. He felt a tug of admiration for Y/N and how easily she connected with everyone. It was like her spirit bound them together.
"I was just telling them about the spicy drink challenge you missed, Shoto!" Kaminari interjected, winking. "You should definitely join us next time. Y/N even beat Bakugo—can you believe that?"
"Of course she did," Bakugo grumbled, trying to hide a smirk but failing. "Anyone can be lucky once."
Shoto tilted his head slightly, turning his full attention to Y/N. "You beat Bakugo?" he asked, a note of surprise in his voice.
Y/N chuckled, relishing the moment. "Just a bit of determination and some competitive spirit! But it was so much fun."
Bakugo folded his arms, pretending to be unimpressed, but there was an unmistakable glint of pride in his eyes. "Next time, I'm coming for you, Noctem."
"Bring it on!" she replied, her smile bright and full of confidence.
As they eased into more conversation, it became clear to Shoto just how well Y/N fit in with his friends. He admired her fierce spirit and how she brought a sense of joy and lightness to the group dynamics.
Feeling a sense of need to connect with her directly, Shoto leaned in slightly. "Y/N, have you thought about how you want to contribute here? Everybody has strengths they can bring to the team."
Y/N paused, feeling the weight of his interest. "I want to support others while continuing to hone my powers. I believe I can help in ways that make those around me feel their best, especially if they're facing obstacles of their own."
"That's a strong approach," Shoto acknowledged. "Your power is unique, and shadows can be incredibly powerful in strategic situations."
"Thanks, Shoto," she replied, her eyes shining with gratitude. "It's nice to know I have support, especially from you," she added, her tone sincere.
As the conversation flowed, Bakugo observed the connection building between Y/N and Shoto with an inner mix of emotions. He wasn't one to dwell too deeply on feelings, but seeing Y/N and Shoto share this bond nudged at something within him.
"Alright! How about we move to something competitive now?" Kaminari suggested, his eyes sparkling with mischief. "Who's up for some games?"
"Count me in!" Y/N cheered. The excitement in the room swelled as they discussed potential games, the energy vibrant and alive.
Shoto felt a warmth growing, not only from the laughter surrounding them but from the knowledge that they were all truly becoming a team. He exchanged a glance with Bakugo, the unspoken understanding stretching between them as they both rooted for Y/N—their new friend and ally.
