Alone, afraid, and amazed

"Okay, class! Now that I took roll, we are going to do a small little project! You are all juniors, so we are going to get straight to work!" Ms. Reese said in a cheerful voice.

She was saying other things that I wasn't paying attention to. Oh well. Thats the thing about me, I care about school, but I never seem to pay attention. I always have too much on my mind to focus.

"For this assignment, I will assign you all partners. There is an even number in the class, so no groups of three!" Ms. Reese shouted.

Kids kept talking. Aurora was basically about to fall asleep.

She was pretty. Very pretty.
She turned to me.

"When the fuck is this class over?" She whispered.

Her eyes were beautiful, but I kept looking over at Gerard for some odd reason. I did not like him, of course, I have never even met him.

"I think in an hour." I whispered to her, with a half smirk.

"Im Aurora, by the way. You're Frank, right?" She smiled.

"Yep, thats me, nice to meet you." I said back, smiling.

I looked to my right to see Gerard talking to that Lindsey girl.

"Nice to meet you t-" She stopped.

"Who do you keep looking at?" She said in a soft voice.

I turned my head away from Gerard, facing Aurora.

"I- I, n- no one." I stuttered, turned my head to Gerard, again.

I don't know why, but I cant seem to look away.

"You like him." Aurora blurted out.

I turned my face to Aurora fast.

"W- What? N- no. Who?" I cant seem to stop stuttering. I don't like him.

"Gerard Way. I can see the way you look at him." She said.
"Your eyes lighten up for some reason. The reason is, I think you like him." She smiled.

"W- what? I don't. I don't even know him. I have never said a word to him.."

I felt my cheeks get red.
Shit.

"He has a girlfriend, her name is Lindsey. Ive heard shes a slut, but.. rumors are rumors." She whispered.

The teacher was writing stuff on the board. People were talking.

I saw Gerard give Lindsey a peck on the lips.
It was cute. It didn't bother me.

"Alright class, while everyone was talking..." Ms. Reese winked.

"... I wrote your partners on the board! Please meet up with them, and take a seat anywhere." The teacher finished.

Ms. Reese was young. Maybe about 25. She had short, blonde hair. Thin, light colored eyebrows, and a small nose that her glasses rested on.

I looked away, and started to read the board.

Thats when I stopped reading.

Gerard looked at the board, and then looked at me. He seemed nice. He smiled at me. I wanted to be friends with him.

He started to walk towards me.

"Hey, you're Frank, right? Im Gerard." He said in a calm tone.

Remember when I said he had gorgeous eyes?

Wrong.

He had the most amazing eyes I have ever seen. Ever.

"Hey. Yeah, thats me. Frank. So, Gerard, where do you want to sit?"
I sounded gay as fuck.
