Geo hadn't slept a wink. Vi had taken her back to their room but she couldn't rest. Vi left to talk to Caitlyn for a few hours but Geo just sat on the edge of her bed, looking out the window.

The room felt suffocating to her even though it was quite spacious. But then again, her head was a mess, and nothing felt like it would calm her down enough to fall asleep.

Vi returned to the room, her steps light as she saw Geo sitting on the edge of the bed, looking out at the night sky.

She approached slowly, not wanting to startle her. "Hey," she said quietly, her voice soft in the quiet of the room. "You should try to get some sleep. You look exhausted."

Geo didn't even look in her direction. Her once ornately done hair was a mess.

"Georgia." Geo spat the name out.

"What?"

"My mother named me Georgia." Geo kept her gaze out the window.

Vi said nothing in reply.

"I was never supposed to see her again. And there she is, looking happy and healthy." Geo scoffed.

"I mean, I probably have siblings I've never met before." She laughed bitterly, her gaze still outside.

Vi sat beside Geo.

Vi took one of her hands and held it firmly, her thumb gently caressing the knuckles. The action was more for her own comfort than Geo's. She knew the Geo didn't want to be seen as some fragile doll.

"You have a right to feel angry," Vi murmured, her gaze fixed out of the window next to them.

She felt so useless. Here she was, sitting with an emotionally wrecked girl, and she had no idea how to fix it. No wise words. No comforting touch.

"You may never know why she chose you," Vi continued her voice barely above a whisper. "And that part will probably always sting."

Vi could feel Geo's hand shaking slightly under her touch, a silent testament to the emotions swirling inside her.

She wanted to tell her that it was okay. That it would all be alright. But the words seemed shallow, even to herself.

So she simply sat next to her silently, her thumb still tracing comforting circles on her trembling hand.

Geo's eyes teared up. "Is something wrong with me?"

Vi's heart broke at her words. She turned to look at the Geo beside her, her eyes full of empathy.

"No," she said firmly, her voice filled with conviction. "There's nothing wrong with you, Diamond."

"How could she leave me?" Geo wrapped her arms around herself. "Was Georgia not enough for her?"

Geo fell in Vi's arms, sobbing on the bed.

Vi held her, her arms a protective embrace around her shaking form. She felt helpless, her heart breaking with every sob that escaped from her.

Geo pulled back sniffing. Vi pressed her forehead against Geo's. They sat in silence.

Their breath mingled between them, their foreheads pressed close. Vi's thumb stroked at the Geo's cheek, wiping away a stray tear.

"You wanna go to bed?" Vi whispered.

Vi let out a breath, her hand moving to brush back a strand of hair from Geo's face. She could see the exhaustion in every line on Geo's face, the pain etched deep into her features.

Without another word, she gently pulled Geo into her arms, maneuvering them both until they were lying on the bed. Geo curled against her, her head resting against Vi's chest.

Geo slowly fell asleep in Vi's arms.

A/N: Hey guys, sorry this chapter is so short compared to the other ones. Hoped you enjoyed this one though. I suck at writing at emotional scenes lol
