[It's strange the Narrator only speaks to Jeongin, the side character, right?]
Warnings: Su!c!de
Jeongin groaned, waking to a bright light. All kinds of panicky thoughts ran through his mind, but as his eyes adjusted, he realised it was just his bedroom ceiling light.
Talk about unjustified.
Finally, he went about his day, following through with the routine the Narrator had drilled into him. His movements were mechanical, almost soulless.
When he got back to his room, he noticed the blood on the ground. Right, so that was why his head was splitting with pain during his routine.
He didn't even remember that he got up from the floor.
So he did the most logical thing. Go take tissues and clean up the mess.
Showering did cross his mind but he decided against it, as he was already late to a meet-up Seungmin had initiated.
Just at that moment, the doorbell rang. Damn. Jeongin scrambled out, catching sight of his mother opening the door. The bright, smiley face of Seungmin peered in. His friend's eyes landed on Jeongin and he exclaimed, "Jeongin! What happened to you?"
Jeongin's eyes flitted from his mother to Seungmin to his mother. He noticed her silent glare, even as she put up the perfect smile for Seungmin. Jeongin scratched his neck, "Uh, sorry I slept in late. Lemme change and I'll be out."
"Sure! Auntie, do you need any help right now?" Jeongin turned his back to his mom as Seungmin initiated small talk and by her gushing over him, Jeongin could tell it was working.
Silently, Jeongin thanked Seungmin for keeping her occupied, up until they'd have to leave. He didn't want to confront her.

"Bye, mom."
His mom ushered Seungmin out, smiling widely, "Goodbye, Seungmin." The door shut.
Seungmin turned to Jeongin with a look in his eyes, "You alright?"
Jeongin fidgeted with his sleeves and he let his gaze drift off to the side, "Yeah...she just got pissed yesterday. And you know my mom, she takes a while to chill off," he chuckled, trying to ease the tension.
"You'll let me know if something's wrong, right, Innie? You're important to me," Seungmin's lips pursed into a line.
Now Jeongin felt horrid for making his friend, the main character no less, worry over his stupid life. Speaking of main character stuff, where was the Narrator?
'Narr-Narrator?'
'Strange. Usually, she'd be hounding me with instructions by now.' But Jeongin decided to let himself bask in the respite, not knowing how long it'd last.
Seungmin, unaware of Jeongin's internal thoughts, snatched the younger's wrist, grin on face. He tugged Jeongin down the street and into an ice cream shop, where he'd pay. Jeongin nearly went nuts for letting him, but the cashier had already taken the cash.
