The years passed like whispers in the wind, and Karia's life in the World of Destruction continued to evolve. Now a teenager, her strength had grown to astonishing levels, rivalling even the most seasoned Saiyan warriors. Under Whis's tutelage, she had honed her skills to near perfection. Yet, she was restless. Despite her power, the emptiness of the endless skies and the lack of others like her weighed heavily on her heart.

Karia's mornings were spent training rigorously. On this particular day, Whis stood at the edge of a floating platform, watching her with his usual calm demeanour as she launched a series of precise energy blasts at moving targets. The targets-floating spheres conjured by Whis's staff-darted unpredictably, but Karia's focus never wavered.

"Good, Karia," Whis said, clapping his hands lightly. "You've improved your timing. But there's still a tendency to let your emotions cloud your judgment during extended fights."

"I'm not emotional!" Karia snapped, crossing her arms.

Whis chuckled. "Your tone suggests otherwise, my dear."

Karia huffed and turned away, her tail swishing with frustration. Despite her growth, she often felt that Whis's comments stung more than any physical blow.

A Fateful Sparring Match

Lord Beerus appeared mid-morning, yawning as he floated lazily down from his palace. "What's all this commotion about? You're giving me a headache before my nap," he grumbled, though his golden eyes locked onto Karia.

"Good morning, my lord," Whis said, bowing slightly. "Karia has been perfecting her technique. Perhaps she could demonstrate for you?"

Karia perked up at the suggestion, her Saiyan blood surging with excitement. She turned to Beerus, her hands clenched into fists. "Let me spar with you, Lord Beerus! I'm ready!"

Beerus raised an eyebrow, his tail flicking lazily. "Ready, are you? Hmph. You're a bold one, I'll give you that."

"She's been working very hard," Whis added. "A sparring session with you might reveal just how far she's come."

Beerus sighed dramatically, stretching his arms over his head. "Fine. But don't expect me to hold back just because you're a child."

The two squared off in a wide clearing, the air crackling with tension. Karia crouched into her battle stance, her aura flaring around her in a brilliant display of blue and gold. Beerus, meanwhile, looked utterly relaxed, his hands behind his back.

"You'd better not disappoint me, little Saiyan," Beerus said with a smirk.

The fight began. Karia launched forward with incredible speed, throwing a flurry of punches and kicks. Her movements were sharp and deliberate, each strike aimed at vital points. But Beerus dodged effortlessly, his expression never changing.

"You're fast," Beerus said casually, sidestepping a powerful punch. "But speed alone isn't enough."

Karia growled, her frustration mounting. She stepped back and charged an energy blast in her palms, the bright sphere crackling with raw power. With a fierce cry, she hurled it toward Beerus.

The God of Destruction didn't flinch. With a single swipe of his hand, the blast dissipated into nothingness.

Karia's eyes widened in shock, but she refused to back down. She pushed herself harder, her energy spiking dangerously as she tapped into the full extent of her strength. She darted forward again, aiming a punch at Beerus's chest.

This time, Beerus caught her fist. The force of her strike sent a shockwave through the air, but Beerus held firm. His grip tightened, and he leaned down to meet her gaze.

"You've got potential, I'll admit," Beerus said, his tone serious. "But you're still far from challenging a god."

With a flick of his wrist, he sent Karia flying across the clearing. She crashed into the ground, creating a small crater.

The Lesson

Karia pulled herself out of the dirt, her body aching but her spirit unbroken. She glared at Beerus, her fists trembling. "I'm not done yet!"

Beerus smirked, but before he could respond, Whis stepped in. "That's enough for today," he said gently. "You've both proven your points."

Karia opened her mouth to argue, but Whis's calm gaze silenced her. She let out a frustrated sigh and sat on the edge of the crater, staring at her trembling hands.

"Why can't I beat him?" she muttered under her breath.

"Because strength alone won't be enough," Whis said, approaching her. "You have raw power, Karia, but you lack the wisdom and experience to wield it effectively. Fighting Lord Beerus isn't just about overwhelming him-it's about understanding his techniques, anticipating his moves, and finding balance within yourself."

Karia looked up at Whis, her frustration giving way to determination. "Then teach me," she said. "I'll do whatever it takes."

Whis smiled, pleased by her resolve. "Very well. But remember, Karia, growth is a journey, not a destination. You'll need patience."

A Glimpse of the Future

As the sun set over the World of Destruction, Karia stood alone on a floating island, gazing up at the stars. Her body was sore, but her mind was alive with thoughts of the future. Somewhere out there, she was certain, were answers to the questions that had haunted her since she could remember.

"Who am I meant to be?" she whispered to the night.

Far above, Whis watched her from a distance, his expression thoughtful. "You're beginning to awaken, Karia," he murmured to himself. "And when the time comes, the universe will know your name."
