The Edge of Control

The days following Broly's reappearance were marked by an unsettling quiet. Karia kept her distance from everyone, throwing herself into training. She needed clarity, focus, and control-something Broly's presence had stolen from her. Her frustration boiled beneath the surface, a mix of anger at him for his domineering behavior and at herself for how deeply his actions affected her.

Far from Goku's home, she had found an isolated plateau to train in peace. The sun blazed overhead, but she didn't care. Blast after blast erupted from her hands as she roared into the open sky, her energy shaking the ground beneath her.

"You can't avoid him forever, you know," came a voice from behind her.

Karia spun around, energy crackling at her fingertips, only to see Goku and Vegeta standing a short distance away. Goku's expression was calm, his usual cheerfulness replaced by concern. Vegeta, however, looked unimpressed, arms crossed over his chest and a familiar scowl on his face.

"What do you want?" she snapped, lowering her hands but keeping her energy sharp.

"We need to talk," Goku said, stepping closer. "You've been out here for days. We're worried about you."

Karia scoffed, turning her back to them and firing another blast into the horizon. "I don't need anyone worrying about me. I'm fine."

"No, you're not," Goku said firmly, his tone uncharacteristically serious. "You're pushing yourself too hard. This isn't just about getting stronger, is it?"

Karia froze, her fists clenching. "I don't know what you're talking about."

Vegeta snorted. "Oh, please. You think we haven't noticed? You've been running scared since that idiot Broly marked you."

Her eyes snapped to Vegeta, fury blazing in them. "I'm not scared of him!"

"Aren't you?" Vegeta challenged, stepping forward. "You're out here training like a lunatic, avoiding everyone, refusing to face him. You think that's strength? That's weakness, girl."

"Don't call me weak!" Karia shouted, her energy surging in an explosive wave.

Vegeta didn't flinch, his smirk sharp. "Then prove it. Stop running. Face him. Learn what it means to fight like a Saiyan."

Karia glared at him, her energy crackling dangerously around her. "I don't need you to tell me how to fight."

"Then why are you so afraid of what he did to you?" Vegeta shot back, his tone cutting.

"Enough, both of you," Goku interrupted, stepping between them. "This isn't helping. Karia, Vegeta's right about one thing-you can't keep running from this. Whatever's going on with you and Broly, you need to figure it out. For your sake."

Karia's energy dimmed slightly as Goku's words sank in. She hated how easily he could see through her defenses. "I didn't ask for this," she said quietly, her voice trembling with frustration. "I didn't ask for any of it."

Goku's expression softened. "I know. But it's happening anyway. You're strong, Karia. You've just gotta trust yourself to handle it."

Before she could respond, the ground beneath them shook violently, and a massive burst of energy flared on the horizon. All three Saiyans turned toward the source, their senses immediately sharpening.

"That power..." Karia whispered, her stomach twisting.

"It's him," Vegeta said grimly.

Karia's heart raced as she stared at the distant energy. Broly was here, and he wasn't bothering to hide his presence. Her instincts screamed at her to run, but she forced herself to stay rooted, her fists clenched tightly.

"You're coming with us," Vegeta said, grabbing her arm.

"I can handle this," she snapped, pulling away.

"No, you can't," Vegeta retorted, his tone cold but firm. "Not alone."

Goku placed a hand on her shoulder, his energy calm but strong. "We're stronger together, Karia. Let us help."

For a moment, Karia hesitated, torn between her pride and the growing weight of the situation. Finally, she nodded, her resolve hardening.

"Fine," she said, her voice steady despite the storm inside her. "But this is my fight."

Goku smiled faintly. "We know. But we're not letting you face him alone."

As the three of them took off toward the source of the energy, Karia felt a mix of fear and determination swirling within her. She didn't know what Broly wanted or how to stop him, but one thing was clear: she wasn't going to let him control her anymore.

The battle ahead would test her strength, her resolve, and perhaps even the strange connection she couldn't deny. But this time, she was ready to fight-for herself, for her freedom, and for the future, she refused to let anyone else decide.
