The tension in the air had not faded since Broly's sudden appearance the day before. Karia sat outside Goku's house, her legs dangling over the edge of a small wooden deck. The soft chirping of birds was meant to be calming, but her mind was far from at ease.

Broly's words haunted her, echoing in her thoughts like a melody she couldn't shake. "You can't run forever." What did he mean? And why did it feel like some part of her wasn't entirely opposed to what he'd said? She shook her head, trying to banish the thought.

"Karia."

What familiar voice pulled her out of her reverie? She turned to see the angel descending gracefully from the sky, his staff glowing faintly. He floated to the ground, his serene smile in place as always.

"You're leaving," Karia said, not bothering to hide the hint of disappointment in her voice. She had grown used to Whis's presence, his calm demeanour a comforting contrast to the chaos around her.

Whis nodded. "Unfortunately, yes. Lord Beerus has summoned me back for my duties. It seems he's grown impatient with my extended absence."

Karia sighed, crossing her arms. "I figured this day would come. I just didn't think it would be so soon."

Whis chuckled softly. "You've come a long way, Karia. The time I've spent guiding you has been worthwhile, but now it's time for you to walk your path. Besides, you're in good hands here."

Karia wasn't so sure about that. Goku and Vegeta were formidable allies, but her connection with Broly felt like a battle she would have to face on her own.

"I'll miss you," she said, her voice quieter now.

Whis reached out, placing a hand gently on her shoulder. "You're stronger than you realise, Karia. Trust in yourself."

With those parting words, Whis turned and ascended into the sky, vanishing into the ether. Karia watched him go, feeling a pang of sadness but also a spark of determination. She wasn't alone.

Inside the house, Goku and Chi-Chi were preparing dinner, their lively banter carrying into the yard. The smell of food made Karia's stomach growl, reminding her that she hadn't eaten much since the encounter with Broly.

"Karia! Dinner's almost ready!" Goku called out, sticking his head out the door. His cheerful grin was contagious, and for a moment, Karia managed a small smile.

She joined the family at the table, where the atmosphere was warm and inviting. Goten and Trunks were bickering playfully over the last piece of dumpling, while Gohan was explaining something scientific to Videl. Even Vegeta was there, though he sat in his usual stoic silence, occasionally offering a pointed remark.

Chi-Chi placed a bowl of rice in front of Karia. "You need to eat, dear. You're too thin. You'll never have the strength to deal with that brute if you don't keep up your energy."

Karia chuckled softly, appreciating Chi-Chi's motherly concern. She took a bite of her food, savouring the flavours. The simplicity of this moment, surrounded by people who cared about her, was a stark contrast to the chaos Broly had brought into her life.

But the peace didn't last long.

As the sun set and the group moved outside to enjoy the evening air, Karia's gaze drifted to the horizon. She could feel it again-that oppressive energy. It wasn't close, but it was there, lingering like a predator watching its prey.

Vegeta seemed to sense it too. He stood abruptly, his eyes narrowing as he scanned the horizon. "He's still watching," he muttered.

Goku looked confused. "Who?"

"Broly," Vegeta replied. "He's keeping his distance, but he's not going away anytime soon."

Karia's heart sank. She didn't want Broly's presence to ruin the fragile peace she had found here. But as much as she wanted to ignore it, she knew Vegeta was right.

That night, as Karia lay in bed staring at the ceiling, her thoughts drifted back to Whis's words. "Trust in yourself."

She clenched her fists. If Broly thought he could control her, he was wrong. She would find a way to break free from his claim and prove that her path was her own.
