The days following Whis's departure passed in a blur for Karia. While the tranquillity of life on Earth was a welcome reprieve from the battles she had endured, a constant sense of unease lingered in the back of her mind. Despite the warmth of her newfound family, she could feel the universe's unrest stirring. It was as if an unseen force was pulling her toward something far beyond the quiet days spent in training with Goku and Goten, and the peaceful evenings at the dinner table with Chi-Chi.
Her Saiyan blood burned with an insatiable desire for strength, and her connection to the universe seemed to grow deeper with each passing day. But the more she trained, the more she felt the presence of something-someone-watching her. And she knew it wasn't just her imagination. Something was coming, and Karia was determined to be ready for it.
One afternoon, as Karia sat on the training grounds behind the house, sharpening her skills with her energy blasts, a familiar figure appeared on the horizon. It was Goku, flying toward her at top speed, his figure becoming clearer with every second.
He landed with a grin, brushing a few stray hairs from his face. "Hey, Karia! I've got a great idea. How about a little training session today?" He gave her a wink, clearly eager to test his skills against hers once more.
Karia wiped the sweat from her brow, smiling at her brother. "Sure, Goku. I'm always up for a challenge."
As they began to spar, their movements became a blur of speed and power. Karia's strength had grown exponentially, thanks to the training she'd undergone since arriving on Earth, and Goku was more than happy to push her to new limits. Each blow she landed felt more precise, her energy more refined. It was a thrilling experience, knowing how far she had come since her first days on this planet.
But as the sparring continued, something shifted in the air. The sky grew darker, and the ground trembled slightly beneath their feet. Goku stopped mid-punch, his eyes narrowing in suspicion. "What's going on? It feels... different."
Karia felt it too-an ominous presence. A chill ran down her spine, and her body tensed instinctively. She glanced around, trying to locate the source of the disturbance, but there was nothing to see.
Then, without warning, a figure materialized before them in a burst of dark energy. The figure's form was cloaked in shadow, its power radiating an aura that sent a wave of unease through Karia's chest. The figure's voice echoed in the air, cold and menacing.
"Ah, so you're the one they call Karia. The Saiyan prodigy, the one with the power to change the universe." The voice held an eerie familiarity, though Karia couldn't place it.
She stepped forward, her eyes narrowing. "Who are you? And why are you here?"
The figure chuckled darkly, the sound sending shivers through her spine. "I am someone who has been watching you, Karia. Someone who has been waiting for this moment. Your power has not gone unnoticed."
Goku's body tensed beside her. "I don't know who you are, but if you're here to cause trouble, we won't let you get away with it," he warned, his energy rising.
The figure tilted their head, their expression hidden beneath a mask of shadows. "I'm not here to fight, Goku. Not yet, at least. But Karia..." The figure's voice dropped lower, filled with an almost predatory tone. "You are the key. The key to something far greater than even you can comprehend."
Karia's fists clenched, and her energy flared, pushing against the dark aura that surrounded the mysterious figure. "What do you want from me?" she demanded. "Who sent you?"
The figure stepped closer, their voice almost a whisper. "I was sent by forces far beyond your understanding. You are a part of a much larger game, Karia. A game that involves the fate of not just this universe, but countless others."
Goku's face darkened. "We don't take kindly to threats around here. If you don't leave, we'll make you."
The mysterious figure laughed again, though it was hollow and void of humour. "You're not ready for this fight, Goku. And neither is she." The figure's eyes locked with Karia's, and for the first time, she felt truly vulnerable. "But in time, you will be. And when that day comes, you will have to make a choice."
Before Karia could react, the figure vanished in a flash of dark energy, leaving nothing but the lingering sense of dread in their wake. The ground beneath them shook once more, and the air grew heavy with the presence of something ancient and powerful.
Goku let out a low sigh, his expression grim. "That was weird," he muttered, rubbing the back of his neck. "I've never felt anything like that before."
Karia stood still for a moment, her thoughts racing. The figure's words echoed in her mind, and she couldn't shake the feeling that she had just encountered something far more dangerous than she could imagine. She was no longer just a warrior fighting for her survival-she was a pawn in a much larger game.
"I don't like this, Goku," Karia admitted, her voice steady but filled with concern. "I don't know who they are or what they want, but I feel like something's coming. Something we're not prepared for."
Goku placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder. "Don't worry, Karia. Whatever it is, we'll face it together. We've beaten tougher foes before. We can do it again."
Karia nodded, but deep inside, she couldn't shake the nagging feeling that they were all in greater danger than they realized. Something was coming-a force far stronger than anything they had ever encountered. And no matter how much they trained or prepared, it might not be enough.
As the sky grew darker and the sun dipped below the horizon, Karia made a silent vow to herself. She would not let her family down. She would face whatever threats lay ahead with all the strength she had-and whatever it took, she would protect the ones she loved.
