The ground trembled beneath Karia's feet as Broly's massive power surged closer. Her heart raced, and despite every instinct telling her to run, she stood her ground. The cold air bit at her skin as she took a deep breath, pushing aside the tumultuous thoughts swirling in her head. The fight that loomed on the horizon wasn't just physical-it was personal. Broly had marked her and manipulated her emotions, and now, it was time to face him head-on.
"Are you sure about this?" Goku's voice cut through her thoughts, his concern clear. Vegeta stood by, arms crossed, his expression unreadable but tense.
"I don't need your help," Karia snapped, eyes blazing with resolve. "This is my fight."
Goku's hand rested gently on her shoulder, his presence grounding, but Karia could feel her anger flare. "We're not saying you can't fight him," Goku said calmly. "But this is bigger than just pride. If we can help, let us."
Karia jerked her shoulder away, her resolve unyielding. "No. I'm doing this alone."
Without waiting for another word, Karia shot into the air, her energy streaking behind her as she rocketed toward Broly's overwhelming power. She could see him now, standing in the centre of the open field, his back to her, his body radiating an aura that seemed to tear at the very fabric of reality. It was his energy-raw, wild, and untamed-and it was enough to make anyone feel insignificant.
But Karia wasn't anyone.
She wasn't afraid, not anymore. This time, she would take control.
When she arrived, Broly didn't turn to face her immediately. She took it as a sign of arrogance. She didn't care. In an instant, Karia unleashed a powerful wave of energy toward him. The blast sent shockwaves through the atmosphere, but Broly simply turned, dodging with ease, his eyes narrowing with amusement.
"You still think you can defeat me?" he growled.
Karia didn't respond with words. Instead, her body moved on instinct. She surged forward, fists glowing with ki, aiming for his chest. Broly met her blows with his own, every punch from him like a hammer strike, knocking her back with the force of an explosion. The ground cracked beneath her feet, and she quickly regained her balance, refusing to fall.
"You're going to have to do better than that," Broly taunted, smirking as he leapt toward her.
The battle raged on. Karia's energy surged, but it wasn't enough. Every time she thought she had the upper hand, Broly would simply overpower her, his power too great, too relentless. She pushed herself harder, refusing to back down, but the frustration inside her began to mount. Her hands trembled with raw emotion, each failure stoking the fire of her rage.
Broly dodged a punch, and Karia swung again, her fist cutting through the air. This time, however, she didn't expect what happened next. Broly reached out, grabbed her by the hair, and pulled her close. Before she could react, his face was inches from hers, his breath hot against her skin.
"Is this all you've got?" he mocked, his grip tightening.
Karia's energy flared, and her hands shot up in reflex. The tension between them thickened, her emotions raw and out of control. She could feel it now-the strange connection between them. Her thoughts blurred, her mind racing as she struggled to focus. Her energy gathered in her hands, forming a powerful ki blast aimed directly at his head.
But the moment of hesitation lingered.
Her body reacted without thought. Instead of releasing the blast, she yanked on Broly's hair, tilting his head back and pulling him closer. The moment their faces were locked, her heart raced, and an uncontrollable impulse surged within her.
She kissed him.
It was a clash of fury, desperation, and something far deeper that she couldn't understand. She felt his lips on hers, his arms pulling her in tighter, but then, as quickly as it began, she broke away.
What the hell was she doing?
Karia's heart pounded in her chest as the realization hit her like a wave. She hadn't just kissed him-she had given in to the storm inside her, the chaos he had stirred, the confusion she couldn't control.
Her energy flared again as she backed away, her chest heaving. She teleported instantly, vanishing from the battlefield and leaving Broly behind.
She landed far from the fight, her body trembling as she gasped for air. The world spun around her as she realized what had just happened. She had lost control. Broly had pushed her to the edge, and she had nearly crossed it. She could feel the heat of the kiss on her lips, the sensation of his hands on her body, and the anger she had suppressed was now bubbling to the surface.
"Damn it," she muttered, slamming her fist into the ground, creating a small crater.
Karia didn't know what she felt anymore. Confused, angry, and frustrated with herself, she knew one thing for certain: she couldn't keep running from this. But for now, she needed distance.
She needed time to think.
