The tension between Karia and Broly had reached a precarious balance, no longer as explosive as before, but still charged with uncertainty. Days had passed since their last heated encounter, and while Karia tried to avoid him, Broly's presence was always near, his gaze watchful, his actions less forceful but no less intense.

One quiet evening, as Karia sat near a shimmering lake surrounded by tall grass and chirping insects, Broly approached her without a word. His steps were surprisingly soft for someone of his size, and she didn't notice him until his shadow stretched over her.

"What do you want now?" she asked, her voice sharp but lacking the venom it once held.

"To talk," he replied simply, his tone low but calm.

She turned to face him, her arms crossed defensively. "Talking doesn't seem like your strong suit."

Broly tilted his head slightly, a flicker of amusement crossing his face. "You never gave me a chance to try."

Karia's brows furrowed, but she didn't argue. She had to admit-however grudgingly-that he'd been different lately. He hadn't pushed her boundaries like before, and his presence, though intense, was no longer suffocating.

"Fine," she said after a pause, motioning for him to sit. "Talk."

Instead of sitting, Broly extended a hand toward her. "Come with me."

She eyed his hand suspiciously, her instincts telling her to refuse, but something in his expression gave her pause. It wasn't demanding or forceful-it was almost... hopeful.

"Where?" she asked, her voice hesitant.

"You'll see," he said, his gaze unwavering.

Karia hesitated a moment longer before finally placing her hand in his. His grip was warm and steady as he pulled her to her feet. Without warning, he lifted her into his arms and shot into the sky, his energy radiating a soft green glow that illuminated the night.

"Broly!" she exclaimed, gripping his shoulders tightly. "What are you doing?"

"Trust me," he said, his voice calm but firm.

The wind rushed past them as he ascended higher and higher, breaking through the clouds. The world below disappeared, replaced by a vast expanse of stars stretching endlessly in every direction.

Karia gasped, her initial panic melting into awe. The stars seemed brighter up here, their light shimmering like tiny diamonds scattered across velvet. The moon hung low on the horizon, casting a gentle glow over the clouds beneath them.

"It's beautiful," she whispered, her voice barely audible over the wind.

Broly slowed to a hover, holding her securely as they floated amidst the stars. "I come here when I need to think," he said quietly. "It's the only place that feels... peaceful."

Karia glanced at him, surprised by his candor. Broly'scandour wasn't on the stars but on her, his expression softer than she'd ever seen it.

"It's... not what I expected from you," she admitted, her tone softer now.

"I'm not what you expected," he replied, a faint smirk tugging at his lips.

She looked away, her cheeks warming under his gaze. "You're not wrong about that."

For a while, they floated in silence, the stars their only companions. Karia found herself relaxing in his arms, the tension that usually accompanied his presence slowly dissipating.

"Why did you bring me here?" she finally asked, her voice quieter now.

Broly hesitated for a moment before answering. "Because you're always running," he said. "But up here, there's nowhere to run. Just the stars... and us."

His words sent a shiver through her, though she wasn't sure if it was from fear or something else entirely. She looked up at him, searching his eyes for the forceful, overbearing man she'd clashed with so many times before. Instead, she found something gentler-something she hadn't expected to see.

"I'm not running," she said, though her voice lacked conviction.

"You are," he said simply, his tone free of accusation. "And I don't blame you. But I wanted you to see that there's more than fear. There's more than fighting."

Karia's heart twisted at his words, herdefencess crumbldefenceshtly. She hated how easily he could disarm her now, how his presence no longer felt as suffocating as it once had.

"I don't know what you want from me, Broly," she admitted, her voice trembling slightly.

"I don't want anything you're not ready to give," he said, his gaze steady. "But I do want you to see me. Not as a monster. Just... as Broly."

His honesty caught her off guard, and for a moment, she didn't know how to respond. Instead, she turned her gaze back to the stars, letting the silence speak for her.

As they floated there, something shifted between them-a tentative understanding, fragile but real. Karia wasn't sure if she trusted him yet, but for the first time, she felt like maybe she didn't have to fight him every step of the way.

After a while, Broly began to descend, lowering them back through the clouds to the ground. When they landed, he set her down gently, his hands lingering on her waist for a moment longer than necessary.

"Thank you," she said softly, surprising even herself.

Broly nodded, a faint smile tugging at his lips. "You're welcome."

As he turned to leave, Karia found herself watching him go, her emotions a tangled mess. She didn't know what to make of him, of this new side he'd shown her.

But as she glanced back at the stars, a small part of her couldn't deny that something had changed. And maybe, just maybe, she didn't hate it as much as she thought she would.
