Gilgamesh Island
Jaune and Gilgamesh locked eyes, neither moving, both waiting for the other to make the first move. A single Sakura petal drifted down between them, landing softly on the ground. The instant it touched the earth, the two warriors exploded into action.
"En garde!" Gilgamesh roared, springing into the air with a brutal helm-splitter from his naginata. Jaune blocked the attack with Oathkeeper, spinning and retaliating with a slash from Oblivion as Gilgamesh landed. Gilgamesh swiftly slid around him, evading the strike and countering with a forceful stomp that sent a shockwave toward Jaune. Jaune darted away to avoid the blast, then spun around to launch a wave of darkness. Gilgamesh deflected it with his naginata.
"Well done, you're a worthy opponent!" Gilgamesh praised. The exchange had been brief, but in that moment, he knew Jaune had the strength and skill to match him. A smile crossed his face as he summoned his next legendary weapon—Muramasa.
"Feast your eyes and prepared to be stupefied by my swordsmanship!" Gilgamesh declared, unleashing a powerful energy wave with Muramasa. Jaune responded with a wave of his own, and the two blasts collided in a brilliant explosion. For a split second, Jaune's vision was blinded by the smoke, but through the haze, he saw Gilgamesh emerge, his sword sheathed, as though the explosion hadn't fazed him at all.
"Shit!" aune cursed, raising his blades just in time to parry the drawing slash of Muramasa. As the blade met his own, Jaune felt an odd sluggishness seize his body, slowing his movements. The momentary delay left him wide open, and Gilgamesh took full advantage, landing a dual thrust that sent Jaune crashing to the ground. The strikes didn't pierce his aura, but the raw force of the blows sent shockwaves of pain through his body. As his senses cleared, Jaune quickly sprang back to his feet.
'What the hell was that!' Jaune thought, flexing his fingers to ensure his body was functioning normally again. Without hesitation, he charged forward, slashing with both his blades, forcing Gilgamesh into a defensive stance. The legendary warrior countered with an upward slash from his naginata, followed by a triple sword slash with Muramasa. Jaune blocked them all, but each time, he felt weaker, his strength fading for a moment before it returned. Seeing a brief opening, Jaune unleashed a dual wave of light and darkness at Gilgamesh, who withstood the combined attack with minimal damage.
'I must be careful with that katana. Every time it touches me it weakens me in some way. Hehe, I guess I was right that this was gonna be a fun fight. Now show me Gilgamesh, show me what other tricks you have up your sleeve!' Jaune thought, excitement bubbling within him.
Jaune channeled the magic inside Oathkeeper and Oblivion coating the blades with a protective aura of light and darkness. Gilgamesh charged at him, spinning his Naginata like a whirlwind. Jaune countered instantly, launching a spinning buzzsaw of light at Gilgamesh. The strike forced him to dodge and in a fluid motion Gilgamesh unleashed another powerful draw slash. Jaune blocked the strike with ease, the magic surrounding his weapons preventing Muramasa from making direct contact, thus not allowing Jaune to fall prey to its weakening abilities.
"Not gonna fall for that trick again." Jaune said. With a swift motion, he knocked Muramasa aside, throwing Gilgamesh off-balance. With a swift swing of Oathkeeper, he slammed the blade into the ground, triggering a massive explosion of light that blasted Gilgamesh backward
"I will shatter your bones!" Gilgamesh said as he summoned his Rune Axe. With a powerful downward strike, he unleashed a shockwave, sending rocks bursting from the ground, charging toward Jaune. Jaune's smirk remained as he quickly countered with Oblivion, swinging it upward and releasing a wave of dark spikes that collided and blocked Gilgamesh's attack. Without pause, Jaune raised Oathkeeper, summoning a circle of glowing spears around Gilgamesh, then launching them. Gilgamesh leapt into the air, narrowly avoiding the spears, his Rune Axe glowing with energy as he swung it downward at Jaune, but Jaune was already moving, sidestepping the massive blade with practiced ease
