Jaune Arc was never the strongest, but he had the will and determination to pursue his goal no matter what he faced. Though that all changed when after saving the bully who made his life miserable, he decided to reveal that Jaune faked his way into...
The Lands Between, Mt. Gelmir, Volcano Manor, Afternoon
Hot, dark, and permeated with the overwhelming scent of blood—these were Jaune's first thoughts as he was teleported into the entrance chamber of Volcano Manor. The room's décor was lavish, resembling the opulence typically reserved for palaces or those of extremely high social standing. As he surveyed his surroundings, Jaune spotted a woman seated on a throne, with a crucible knight standing guard beside her.

"Brave Tarnished, welcome to the Volcano Manor. I am Tanith, the proprietress of this house. Rya spoke well of you. "A warrior of promise", I believe she said. Perhaps you are prepared to make a commitment. Will you join us here at the Volcano Manor, and resist the tide? Why accept the burden of their grace, or be fooled by the dogmatic ramblings of the Fingers? Rise with us, against the Erdtree." Tanith introduced herself to the newest Tarnished to enter the manor. From what she had heard from Rya and her other sources, she already knew a great deal about Jaune and his accomplishments.
"I'll join you, but only if I get to fight against strong opponents," Jaune replied, a half-truth. Jaune replied, a half-truth. He would join, but only to gather information about Rykard and locate him so he could kill him for his great rune. "Your decision is most welcome. Now you belong to the Volcano Manor family. The drawing room lies down the hall. Make yourself comfortable. On the table in the room is your first assignment. Once again, I am Tanith, the proprietress of this house. An honor to have you." Tanith said, pleased that Jaune had decided to join their faction. She handed him a key to the drawing room so he could receive his first task and meet the other residents of the manor. Heading toward the drawing room, Jaune used the key to unlock the door and stepped inside. Inside, he recognized familiar faces like Rya and Diallos, whom he hadn't seen at the roundtable in a while. But there was also someone else he hadn't seen before — sitting in a chair next to the table where he saw a letter containing his first assignment.

"You... What in heaven's name are you doing here? The Volcano Manor is a pit of recusants who spit at grace and hunt our own kind." Bernahl exclaimed, shocked to see Jaune. He had heard about him—a legendary Tarnished who managed to secure three Great Runes and had been granted permission by the Two Fingers to head toward the Erdtree. So, it was more than surprising to find someone following the will of the Twin Fingers in this place.
