As he approached the exit, anticipation flickered within him—perhaps this time he'd encounter a worthy opponent after the mountains of disappointments in the New World. The moment he stepped through into the new realm, he was instantly bombarded by a barrage of crimson lasers.
"Fuck!" Jaune cursed, swiftly scaling up the mountain to evade the deadly onslaught. It was the first time he'd been ambushed immediately upon arrival, leading him to briefly suspect that the inhabitants had anticipated his arrival and set a trap; however, the lasers continued to rain down on a cliffside village, not him. The enemies, intriguing in their own right, consisted of red and gray beings, alongside towering golems.
