The room was eerily silent as Jaune slept peacefully, having just completed his job-change quest, entering another dreamless slumber. Since leaving Remnant, dreams had become rare for him, but tonight felt different—an unusual sensation stirring within his subconscious. As he drifted deeper into sleep, dark silhouettes materialized before him: nine formidable figures standing in stoic silence. Their immense power radiated like the thrones he had encountered in the dungeon, each one radiating an ominous aura. What unsettled him most was the faint, yet unmistakable, sense of familiarity he felt toward eight of these shadowy figures—like old acquaintances he would rather avoid, and definitely not with friendly intentions.

Before Jaune could try and understand what he was seeing, everything was erased in a bright light. Groaning, he instinctively raised his hand to shield his eyes, but the overwhelming brightness had already begun to fade, and he found himself slowly awakening. As his eyes fluttered open, he sat up cautiously, only to realize he was back in his bed, in his bedroom, safe and sound.

"Finally awake. Here I thought you were planning on sleeping all day," Sol said, settling into the chair in the bedroom as he was the one who opened the curtains, letting sunlight pour in and gently rouse Jaune.

"What time is it?" Jaune grumbled, rubbing his eyes and slowly sitting up, his body aching despite the comforting glow of his aura that eased his pain.

"Almost 1 pm—glad you're finally up; now the fruit basket I brought won't go to waste," Sol replied, pointing to the nightstand where a vibrant basket of assorted fruits sat, a card reading 'Congratulations! You live another day!' nestled among them.

"Try the bananas first—they're from a special island I visited, and they're the best I've ever had," Sol added, omitting that a fierce gorilla and his family guard those bananas fiercely. Following Sol's advice, Jaune peeled and took a bite of one of the bananas, his eyes widening in surprise as the fruit tasted incredible—better than any banana he'd ever eaten.

"Now then, let's get to the heart of the matter—how are you feeling with your new abilities? Any negative reactions from your body?" Sol asked, leaning back comfortably in his chair.
