*the pogues are having a beach day and john B's trying to teach sarah to surf (based of the swell in obx 4 part 1)

If you grew up on the outer banks you could just tell no matter where you were you could hear it and it didn't matter what you were doing that day you hit the brake no matter what. "Yeah baby now that's a perfect swell" JJ says looking up from his phone excitedly "probably the best of the year!" John B agreed. "the earth mother is quite literally begging us to surf" kiara says in her usual kiara manner. "I think our earth mother is telling me to maximise my tan" Sarah says, Kiara agrees with a nod saying "i'm gonna maximise this swell" "So you all want to maximise beach day?" John B says looking at everyone.

20 minutes later the twinkie was packed up with their beach stuff and the surf boards and John B, Sarah, Kiara and JJ were headed down to the beach. "Pull up on the left here" JJ orders John B, John B swerves round and zooms down the sand, JJ leans out the side of the twinkie and runs his hands across the sand. Once they'd parked up they got to work setting up their beach towels and getting the surf boards out of the twinkie. "So what do you reckon, you wanna try today" JB says hopefully to Sarah "you know what! let's do it" she says excitedly. John B cheers and picks Sarah up and spins her round, she squeals happily and begs him to put her down once her feet reach the floor she kisses him quickly and then takes her covers off to reveal a pretty pink flowery bikini, glancing quickly up at John B she catches him smiling at her. "Race you to the sea!" he says running off grabbing a board. Sarah grabs another board and chases after him laughing.

At first Sarah stands at knee deep level and cheers on her best friends and boyfriend whilst they catch the big waves and show off their tricks. "This one's mine!" Kie says and everyone cheers as she takes it. John B and JJ continue to catch some more waves until JB decides that it's lesson time for Sarah. Okay Sar you ready? first your gonna get on the board and just lie on your stomach and paddle your arms and i'll push you onto a wave okay? okay 3.2.1, "yess girl!!" Kie shouts in the distance and John B smiles proudly as she manages to stay on the board quickly swimming after her to drag her back out to sea.
"Okay that was too easy for you this time your gonna try getting on your knees half way through" After a few failed attempts and the surf board somehow riding Sarah at one point she finally masters this and everyone cheers for her. "Okay now for the final step for today, once your on your knees quickly jump up into your feet you got it" "you've got this sarah" jj and kiara shout.

John B starts her off and holds the board and then when the wave is close enough he shouts " go babe go!!" and she paddles quickly then jumping up onto her feet she manages to stay on the board standing up the whole time. Officially catching her very first wave, raising her hands in the air and shouting "i'm doing it, i'm doing it" she reached the shore. The three other pogues were shouting and cheering for her in the back, John B races out of the water and runs to Sarah swooping her in a hug saying well done and how proud he is of her, soon Kiara and JJ follow and join the hug. After 15 more minutes of surfing they decide to take a break for some lunch, cuddling into JB whilst eating a hot dog that they'd prepared on the grill she thought about how perfect her life was and how lucky she was.

After they finished lunch the girls sunbathed for a bit whilst the boys catches some more waves, later they joined them in the sea and they spent the rest of the evening playing in the sea like children until after sunset. "Don't you feel like life is just immediately better at the beach" Kiara says as they're packing up, Sarah agrees looking at John B and skipping over to him to give him a kiss on the cheek. They all get into the twinkie and drive home, hoping for another swell day in the future.
