sarahs birthday

The morning of her birthday had arrived, and Sarah was anything but excited, she hadn't spoken about her birthday and no one had mentioned it so she just didn't bother. It was also weird because her birthday used to be such a big deal in the bubble wrap and now it seemed like no one cared. Looking at her phone she realised there was no notifications either. Sighing she began to get out of bed when her phone lit up. its Pope "hey do you mind coming down to the shop everyone is down here it's super busy" the message read. Sarah replied saying "of course be there in 15" and she got changed and headed down to the shop. She was close to tears and was so confused and hurt as to why no one had remembered her birthday, although she'd never actually mentioned the date but surely they'd know? Oh well she thought let's just get the day over with.

Walking up to the shop she realised that it was closed and no customers were actually there? Slightly confused she stepped foot in the shop and suddenly the 5 other pogues jumped out from behind the counter shouting "SUPRISE" A handmade banner reading "happy birthday sarah!!" was hung up just behind them, and a small table was constructed to hold food, drinks  and gifts. And each and every one of the pogues that had "forgotten" her birthday were now standing before her grinning.

"I thought you all forgot..." she confessed, wiping away the tears that were falling down her cheeks as she hugged Cleo and Kiara either side of her. JJ spoke "You kiddin? He wouldn't let us he's been bugging us for weeks to make sure everything was perfect- OW!" JJ groaned as Kiara elbowed him and Sarah looked up and her eyes met a blushing John B. "Happy Birthday." He said to her whilst pulling her into a hug. "So there's games here and drinks, your favorite, of course-" He explained to her happily , genuinely excited for Sarah's reaction.

"Okay okay open your presents already!! kiara squealed. So one by one Sarah opened the presents and she received a handmade turtle bracelet from kiara, a book from Pope, a shell frame from JJ (kiara had definitely helped him), and a dress from cleo were all opened before the final gift was presented to her.

"If you don't like it, I can get you something else..." John B states nervously and hands her a small black box as she pulled the lid to reveal the most beautiful of necklaces she'd ever seen. "It's a little dipper, because you always talk about the stars and on that boat we were talking about the north star. and you sarah cameron are my nor-" He was cut off walking as Sarah wrapped her arms over his shoulders and kissed him. "i love it john b. i love you" "Okay lovebirds...I need some cake..." Cleo says whilst walking to the table with her knife. There sat on the table was a chocolate cake

"Made it myself." JJ announced proudly, standing like an action hero with his hands on his hips as Sarah laughed. He followed her eyes to the trashcan where the box peeked from the head. "Well I put it in the oven myself...even put the icing on and everything." He exclaimed in defense.
"As long as you didn't actually make it, I'll eat it." Kiara teased as everyone laughed as he stuck up his middle fingers and Cleo began to cut the cake into slices.

After taking a few mouthfuls Sarah asked John B to put the necklace on her, he gently clasped it around her neck and she shivered at his gentle touch. JJ was getting impatient and wanted to do the "annual jump of the deck birthday pogue celebration" so they began to walk down to the dock when suddenly John B pulls Sarah back. "hi" "hi" she reply's shyly. "did you really do all this?" she asked. He nodded his head not breaking eye contact once, suddenly they both felt a sudden surge rush through their body's. Sarah whispered cheekily with a grin "how will I ever repay you?" John B smiled and said "hey how about we miss the jumping off the dock thing and go 'somewhere' else" he says using air quotes on the somewhere and they both knew what he meant.  "Well you know what that's exactly what i wished for, but JJ will kill me if i don't jump off the dock so let's do that first" "if you say so" john B answers looking at her.

They make eye contact for a few seconds and suddenly everything else around them disappears they both lean in for a kiss and made their way over to the couch, not breaking the kiss once, John B played under Sarah and he broke the kiss gasping for air "you sure?" he whispered "positive" sarah said back beginning to take his shirt off. "happy birthday sarah cameron" he grins whilst sliding her shorts off and they kiss again. Soon enough they were laying breathlessly on the couch and hear footsteps. it's jj. "sarah come onnnn you need to jump off we've been waiting for 20 minutes what is taking so long" as he walks in to the shop he glances at them and slowly backs away. he gasps and runs dramatically shouting "kiara"!! John B and Sarah just laugh and sarah says that this was the best birthday she had ever had.
