The morning was bright- brighter than ever- which Jungkook absolutely did not appreciate. His sleep was interrupted by the light as Taehyung pulled the curtains open, letting the sunlight flood the room. Jungkook growled low in protest.
"Taehyung, close the curtains," he muttered, turning over to bury his face in the pillow.
"Koo, wake up now," Taehyung replied, all fresh from his shower, his damp hair clinging to his forehead. He wore a loosely tied robe that exposed his legs. Approaching the bed, he reached out and ruffled Jungkook's messy hair.
"Wake up, birthday boy," Taehyung said teasingly, lifting the blanket to reveal Jungkook's bare upper body.
Jungkook growled again, his morning voice husky. "Mmm... don't call me that," he grumbled before wrapping his arms around Taehyung's waist and nuzzling his face into Taehyung's tummy.
"You can't stop me. It's your day, and I'll call you whatever I want. Now wake up; the whole day is waiting for you." Taehyung's words were accompanied by water droplets trickling from his hair onto Jungkook's head.
Jungkook pulled back, tilting his head up to look at Taehyung. "You smell so good, love," he murmured, only to flinch when a drop of water fell on his face.
Taehyung chuckled and wiped the droplet away. "Of course I do- I just took a bath, my bunny boy," he teased, his thumb caressing Jungkook's cheek.
"Now it's your turn. Go, get freshened up," Taehyung said, giving Jungkook a little push to sit up. But as soon as Taehyung let go, Jungkook flopped dramatically to the other side of the bed, pretending to sleep again.
"Jungkook, come on. Don't be a baby," Taehyung scolded, pulling him with great effort. His husband's muscular frame was deceptively heavy.
"I'm not your baby?" Jungkook pouted, his eyes wide and lips forming a dramatic pout. It was all an act- his husband was clearly playing around.
"Yes, you are my baby. Now go, go!" Taehyung laughed, managing to haul Jungkook out of bed and nudging him toward the bathroom.
Midway, Jungkook turned abruptly, wrapping his arms around Taehyung's waist. "Give me a morning kiss," he demanded, his tone playful yet firm.
Taehyung sighed but smiled in the end. He knew Jungkook's acts all too well- when he acted like this, it meant he wanted to be pampered. Taehyung didn't mind; he loved these moments when Jungkook took a break from being his tough, alpha head of the pack self to a more soft one. And also today he played to pamper him a lot.
Taehyung cupped Jungkook's face and leaned in, pressing a soft kiss to his lips. "Now go," he urged.
"Birthday kiss?" Jungkook's innocent eyes sparkled with mischief.
Taehyung leaned in again, indulging him with another kiss.
"Our-being-together-for-268-days kiss?" Jungkook grinned, and Taehyung sighed, pressing his lips to his husband's once more. Jungkook had been counting the days- or perhaps he just wanted an excuse to be kissed.
"Now go," Taehyung said, attempting to steer him toward the bathroom.
"Good boy kiss?" Jungkook called over his shoulder, smirking.
"What's that now?" Taehyung asked, raising a brow.
"You know, I've been obedient, like a good boy, and I think I deserve some appreciation for that," Jungkook declared in a mock-serious tone, slipping into his business mode.
"You're coming up with a lot of ideas, not gonna lie... Come here," Taehyung replied, giving in.
Jungkook grinned and turned, scooping Taehyung up by the waist as if he weighed nothing, lifting him effortlessly so they were face-to-face. Taehyung clung to Jungkook's shoulders, laughing softly before their lips met in a passionate kiss.
