The air was thick and oppressive as Riho and his men stood at the summit of the infamous mountain. Known as the Mountain of Evils, it loomed over the land like a shadow, feared for its dark reputation. Whispers of malevolent spirits and cursed air kept people far away. Those who happened to cross its path would hold their breath, terrified of inhaling the evil air.

But Riho and his trusted men had done what no one dared. They climbed it. It took them three days for them to find it, and now, they stood victorious at the peak. Before them was a dark, ancient temple— a simple structure with four stone pillars and a small, weathered roof. No decorations adorned it, only thick vines curling around the pillars like serpents, strangling the forgotten monument.

"Finally," Riho murmured, his eyes gleaming under the light of the rising sun. His breath was steady, but his excitement betrayed a flicker of madness.

The man beside him, however, wasn’t as composed. He trembled visibly, his eyes darting around, scanning every shadow. Fear clung to him like a second skin, and his heart raced with every rustle of the wind.

“B-Boss... I don’t feel right about this,” he stuttered, his voice barely above a whisper. His fear spiked when he heard a noise behind them, a faint rustling from the overgrown bushes and wild trees.

“Shut up, you fool,” Riho snapped, his voice sharp and filled with menace. His eyes remained locked on the temple. “This is it. The power I’ve been searching for—it’s here, beneath this temple.”

The man swallowed hard, his face pale. Riho’s tone left no room for argument. There was something dangerous, almost unhinged, in his voice—a promise of destruction.

“Go clear the ground. The ritual needs to start tonight.” He ordered.

“I'll go bring the necessary things,” his gaze never leaving the temple as he took off.

Without further hesitation, the man began his task, cutting through the vines and clearing the overgrown vegetation that had overtaken the temple. The air grew heavier with each step, the weight of the mountain’s dark energy pressing down on them. But Riho didn’t waver. His goal was within reach, and nothing would stop him now.

Jungkook’s rut and Taehyung’s heat had lasted three intense days. During that time, they hadn’t left the house, completely consumed by their wolves' instincts. Mating had taken over everything— so much that it took an entire day for them to realize they hadn’t eaten. Like the caring mate he was, Jungkook made sure to clean Taehyung up and prepare something quick for them to eat before they returned to their primal connection.

Now, the morning sun filtered through the curtains. Taehyung lay peacefully on the bed, wrapped in clean sheets and a fresh blanket that Jungkook had changed earlier. His soft breathing filled the quiet room, but soon his expression shifted. His eyebrows furrowed, tension lining his face. He was having a nightmare.
