“They have a perfect mix of your eyes,” Jin said, his gaze filled with love as he admired the twins lying peacefully in their baby bed, big curious eyes shining like stars. He leaned closer, marveling at the tiny humans who had captivated everyone in the room.
Namjoon stood nearby, holding Juntae, his curious 9-month-old son. Juntae tilted his head, examining the babies with wide eyes. As if on instinct, he reached out to grab one of the twin's noses, but Namjoon quickly pulled him back.
Namjoon: “No, no, little man, not yet,” Namjoon chuckled, gently bouncing his son.
“They’re very sensitive right now. You’ll get to play with them when they’re a bit bigger.” He stepped back, distracting Juntae with a toy.
On the bed Jungkook sat by Taehyung’s bedside, carefully spooning soup into his husband’s mouth that Jin brought for him. His movements were cautious, like handling glass, but his gaze was warm and attentive. Yoonji is sitting on the couch.
“I still can’t believe I was gone for half a day and how much has happened in such a short time,” Yoonji remarked, slicing an apple for Taehyung with precision. Her husband was beside her laughing.
“You can say that again. Nothing in your life happens quietly, does it?” Hoseok teased, his trademark sunshine smile lighting up the room. He cradled Soo-min in his arms, the toddler snoozing peacefully against his chest.
Jungkook laughed, still focused on feeding Taehyung. “Chaos does seem to follow us, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.”
The door creaked open, and Yoongi stepped inside with a folder in hand. Behind him, Jimin entered holding a fluffy stuffed bear from the hospital gift shop.
“How’s our little family doing?” Yoongi asked softly as he approached the twins. His usually stoic expression softened, and a tender smile played on his lips.
“Tired,” Taehyung admitted with a small laugh,“but so, so happy.”
"It's my turn to hold the baby." Jimin grinned as he carefully lifted a baby in his arms. “Looks like they’ve inherited your stubbornness, Jungkook,” he teased, brushing a finger lightly against the baby’s cheeks. “Look at this one—already frowning like they’re about to scold someone.”
Jungkook chuckled, “If they’re anything like Taehyung, they’ll melt your heart with a smile right after.”
Yoongi pulled up a chair, glancing at Taehyung’s monitors. “Your vitals are stabilizing, but you need to rest. You’ve been through a lot.”
“I will, Hyung. Thank you,” Taehyung said sincerely, his voice soft but steady.
Jimin couldn’t resist. “So, who’s older and who’s younger? Do you remember?”
Taehyung smiled, his gaze falling to the twins. “The one in your hand with less purple in his eyes came first. He’s the elder. Then, two or three minutes later, this little one was born.” His voice was filled with awe, as though he was reliving the moment.
Yoongi noted the details in the paperwork before looking up. “We’ll need names for the certificates,” he said, pen poised over the form.
Taehyung turned to Jungkook, who was already looking at him with a small, knowing smile.
“Koo, names?” Taehyung prompted gently, his tone encouraging. He knew how much thought Jungkook had put into this moment and didn’t want to take it away from him.
Jungkook cleared his throat, setting the empty soup bowl aside. “Our elder son is Jong-sun, and our younger son is Yong-sun,” he announced with pride, his voice steady yet brimming with emotion.
