"Nothing fits me!" I scream filled with rage as I tug on my maternity leggings that barely cover my bump anymore.

I lean on the mattress in our room for leverage but nothing works. I've officially hit overdue and I swear it's God punishing me for faking labor to get out of that baby shower. I am about to hit 41 weeks tomorrow and there is absolutely no sign of a baby happening. Rebecca had her baby at 37 weeks... that's 4 weeks earlier than me! What the fuck is that about. But I get tortured by 4 more weeks of elastic, stretching, and no sleep because my stomach feels like a bowling ball was surgically added under my skin.

Dean comes into the bedroom watching me frustratedly yank my leggings up.

"Nothing fits me and I'm going to fucking scream. I want this baby fucking out of my body!" I yell frustratedly at the ceiling as though it'll get straight to God.

"I don't think the big man upstairs takes demands like that." Dean laughs handing me a gift bag covered in pink and red.

"Well he should because I'm miserable. I'm huge, my stomach feels itchy from all the stretching, my feet ache, and my back is always on fire...and did I mention I'm as big as a fucking walrus? Because I am."I complain sitting there with Dean's gift in hand completely topless.

"What is this?" I ask happily switching topics
"Happy Valentines Day!" Dean exclaims.

Fuck...I forgot it was Valentine's Day!

"Dean! You shouldn't have! I totally forgot it was Valentine's Day! I didn't get you anything! I'm terrible!" I pout holding his sweet gift in my hand.
"Audrey...don't feel bad. It's a girl's holiday to feel loved." He winks and waves me to open my gift.
I carefully remove the tissue and see a small box inside from Made by Mary aswell as a beautiful maternity top. I take the top out first and it's a simple dusty blue top that will be long enough to cover my bump which comes at a perfect time.
"Dean...you're a life saver..." I grin throwing my brand new top on and then reaching in for the box.
"Now this I had to wait until I was sure you would deliver on February and he didn't come early" Dean explains as I open the box to reveal a beautiful pendant necklace with a dainty violet stamped in the middle of it.

"It's beautiful, Dean!" I swoon pulling it out.

"It's our son's birth flower. Maybe it'll bring us some good luck at the appointment today." Dean smiles and kisses me softly.

He grabs the necklace from my hands and swirls his finger for me to turn around and he softly puts the necklace on me and clasps it in the back.

"You're beautiful to me,love. But I figured you needed a little something to remind you that you're beautiful. Let's get to your appointment so we can see baby and see what your doctor has to say"Dean soothes.

"I'm nervous...I just don't want an induction. That just leads to more and more interventions. I want to go natural." I exhale grabbing my Birkenstocks and my jacket so we can leave.

"Let's just talk to the doctor and see what she says okay." He half smiles and kisses my forehead as we head out.

30 minutes later:

"Let's take a look under the hood and see if we're dilated yet shall we?" my doctor says patting the bed.

I follow her lead and sit down on the bed with just a hospital gown on. She throws some gloves on puts some stirrups up for me.

"Alright, slid all the way down the bed for me please." She orders softly and I listen.

"Okay, I'm going to go in now. Here's my touch." She says before entering inside of me.
