Keilylia went in for a leg sweep. That jerk parried her strike.

"You know, Smoke, we don't have to fight this fight," he whispered in her ear.

"Evil and good will always fight," she growled.

"How do you know both of us aren't good, or how both of us aren't evil? I think your perspective has been clouded by your siblings." He grabbed her and threw her to the ground.

"I never said which of us was evil," she spoke, hoarsely as Ramiron placed his blade on her throat.

Keilylia could visibly see Ramiron startle as he realised what that meant.

"But your siblings?" he questioned.

"They don't care. They say 'All is good to those of pure hearts.' All I see when I look upon them is hypocrites," at this point, he was helping her up.

Keilylia couldn't help but notice this boy's strength as he pulled her up.

She scolded herself for even acknowledging it mentally.

She scolded herself even more for how her mind recognised the perfect way that her body seemed to fit against his when she lost her balance for a moment and he caught her.

"You're a little clumsy, aren't you Smoke?" he questioned. She could maybe guess that he was teasing her a bit, but couldn't be entirely sure. Why would her enemy tease her? Especially after she just started a fight with him.

She huffed. If her parents were still around they would make a cruel joke about how she is extra Huffydub that day, which is a reference to one of her favourite novels which has groups people are separated into.

People never did understand her.

"I'll take that as a yes," he said.

"I..." she bit her tongue. She didn't have a good comeback for that.

"You're pretty powerful," he muttered to himself, but she heard. She always heard what people said about her.

"Yeah, all thanks to my parents," she said proudly.

He was startled at her statement. "Interesting... Let me walk you back to your place."

"Are you flirting with me?" she asked, trying to see if she could poke fun at him.

She noticed his cheeks go beat red. "No!" he hissed, "I'm just being polite!"

She could indeed poke fun at him.

"I didn't know villains could be polite."

"I'm a villain, not a monster."

She was taken aback by that comment and let him walk her to the entrance to the edge of the city.
