"How on earth!" Faolan was lying unconscious. They docked his score for that. Nesrin was nesting in a corner waving wildly with a stubby knife. They docked her score for that. The only way for Nesrin to pass this, they had decided, was for her to unleash her full power on the zoslte.

They watched as Nesrin's head snapped up and her eyes dim as she saw Faolan lying unconscious. A single tear streamed down her face.

The scholars were beginning to gasp for air. She was sucking all of the oxygen out of the room. The zoslte were also struggling for air. A protective field appeared around Faolan. Then, the real strike happened. Sharp daggers made of solid oxygen appeared and striked down on the zoslte. The scholars were fearful that she would send oxygen daggers to kill them as well, but instead she simply shot eye daggers at them when she looked up at the window in the ceiling behind which they were watching the pair.

Then all of the chaos stopped. Nesrin ran to comfort Faolan. They watched as she carefully brushed his hair out of his face. They watched as she carefully brushed the excess fur off of his clothing. They watched as she carefully placed a kiss on his cheek. They watched as his eyes slowly opened. Still a gold from the transformation. They watched the two treat each other as if they had helped each other through that situation before. They watched as Nesrin melted into his arms, as if she had done that millions of times before.

One of the youngest among their ranks as scholars, took out his journal and began to write down all that he had seen. Ettrian stopped him.

"This is a moment that we must not interfere in. Save the writing for later. I can almost guarantee that you will still remember all that you saw," Ettrian whispered.

They watched as Faolan and Nesrin carried each other out of the observation room.
