—real life—

Atlas was back in LA and was at home and had Del Water Gap playing on Spotify on her tv while she was reading a book. She had her blinds open so she sun was in the room. She had her padio door cracked open so the breeze came in.

There was a knock on her door. She reached over to her side table and grabbed the book mark and put it between the pages and closed the book. She placed the book on the table and got up while pressing pause, throwing the remote back on the couch.

She walked past her kitchen and to the door. She unlocked her door and opened it. The first thing she saw was black curly hair. "Charlie?" She asked, looking at him. "Hey, Atley." He said.

She smiled at him. "What are you doing here?" She asked. "Can I come in?" He asked and she nodded her head. She opened the door and stepped to the side. He walked through and she closed the door behind him.

"Sorry for coming unannounced. I was in the city and I wanted to stop by." He said walking to the living room and she followed behind him. "It's alright. I was just reading." She said.

"How's the kids?" She asked and he turned around and looked at her. "They're good. They miss you. It's not the same without you." He said and Atlas sadly smiled. "Really? Thought you'd be overjoyed and be using my house for parties." She said and he shook his head.

"No, we just hang out at my place there. I know they've been texting and calling you. Sorry about that." He said and she shook her head. "It's alright. I love talking to them. How's filming?" She asked him.

She walked over to the fridge and grabbed out two water bottles. She closed the door and slid one of them over to him. "Thanks. It's good. I wrapped a few days ago so I don't have much I'm doing." Charlie said.

She nodded her head. "It's always weird those first few days after you wrap." She said. She opened the water and took a sip of it. "Is reading all you've been doing?" He asked.

She shook her head. "Yes and no. I've had more time to go through my tbr. I took up drawing again. I haven't in two years." She said and he smiled. "Yeah?" He asked and she nodded her head. "I'm shit at it but I wanted to be more connected to real things. I needed something real, you know? I took it upon myself after the funeral. Liam taught me how to draw and I gave up. Figured I start again for him, to keep up on my promise." Atlas said.

He nodded his head. "Can I see them?" He asked and she shook her head while walking to her to bookshelf. "Telling you now, the drawings are shit." She said, grabbing her drawing book.

She walked back over to him and stood next to him. She sat it down and looked up at him. He looked at her while pulling it closer to him. "First four pages are what I have." She said. He looked away from her and opened the book. He analyzed them slowly and turned each page.
