—real life—Atlas got a text from her friend, David that he was in the city doing press for his new movie. That after he was done, he asked if he could stop over. She obviously said yes. She texted her address since he's never been to her LA home.
She cleaned up her house a little bit while listening to music, well her demo's on her tv. Since she could play all of the instruments, she easily did demos by herself. And when she'd sender it over and get the go ahead, she did it with her band.
After a few of cleaning, making herself a snack, and taking a shower, she was on the couch. She got a text from him, telling her he was on her way.
Atlas met David at the Venice Film Festival back in 2022. They ran into each other at one of the parties and they became friends ever since.
When Twisters came out, he invited her to the premiere. The two walked the carpet together, and when he was taking pictures by himself, she was talking with Daisy or Glen. When they were in the theater, they sat together.
From time to time, they'd call each other or hang out in person. They'd work out together since he was training for his superhero movie, and she was training for Deadpool. She was gaining a little muscle, while he was gaining a lot.
The doorbell rang and she got up from the couch and walked over to the door. She opened it and smiled at him. "Hi, Davy." She said and he smiled back at her. "Hey, Addie."
She stepped aside to let him in. She closed the door behind him. "Just through here." She said, leading the way. He looked around the kitchen and living room. "This is a nice place." He said.
She looked back at smiled. "Thanks. I got this place a few years back. I wanted a nice and quiet neighborhood." She said. He walked more into the living room and looked at her bookshelves.
David looked at all of her books, artwork, and awards. "Wow." He said, looking at all of it. She walked over to him. "Few years a work but into it." She said, looking at everything.
He looked at her. "You just keep them out, all the time even when you're out of LA?" He asked and she nodded her head. "I have a good security system and my neighbors and always making sure my house is untouched when I'm not home. I'm not worried about them." Atlas told him.
"That's nice of them." He said and she looked at him. "They take care of me, I take care of them. I have some of the best neighbors." She said.
"How many awards do you have here?" He asked and she shrugged her shoulders, looking back at her bookshelves. "I have one Oscar, Golden Globes, Critics Choice awards here on my bookshelves. In my studio I have my other Oscar, other Golden Globe, other Critics Choice, and my seven Grammys. My BRIT awards I have in my room, and all my other awards are in a warehouse uptown." She explained.
He breathed out a laugh. "I didn't realize you've won so many awards." He said and she shrugged. "Me neither until Michael Rosenbaum pointed them out during the podcast." She said.
"Speaking on that, Nicholas and James were on his podcast. You should definitely go on his. I love him and he's a good interviewer." She added. He smiled at her. "I'll think about it, and see if he'll invite me." He said.
She put her hand on his arm. "If you want, I can put in a good word for you." She said and he nodded his head once. She removed her hand and started walking towards the kitchen. "Want a glass of wine?" She asked.
