"Cheers!"

Harper and Morgan high-fived, grinning at the ticket office.

"Here's to finally quitting our jobs" Morgan laughed.

Spencer groaned, "You don't have to say it like that."

Both Savannah and Harper laughed as Morgan slapped him on the back, "Oh come on, Pretty Boy, you know I'm gonna miss you."

He nodded, trying not to show his smile and took his ticket off of Harper. They were at an Escape Room in the city, a joint celebration for Harper and Morgan and the major changes in their lives. Morgan had retired from the FBI the previous week, finally making good on his promise to prioritise his family. Harper had quit Time Magazine around the same time, something she hadn't even had time to mourn because of how quickly her freelance career had taken off.

Her most recent article, "Behind the Mind: Profiling the Profilers of the BAU," had gone viral within days of being posted. Focusing heavily on Spencer and the human side of the Behavioural Analysis Unit, the piece had struck a chord with readers.

"You know, I'm still waiting for my cut," Morgan said, teasing Harper as they headed toward the escape room entrance. "You wouldn't have had that big break without us."

Harper smirked, rolling her eyes. "Oh, sure. I'll cut you in on all the freelance riches I'm making."

Savannah leaned into Morgan, laughing. "It's not all about the money, babe. Harper's getting recognition left and right for it. Did you see the New York Times write-up?"

Morgan glanced over at Harper, his brows lifting slightly. "The Times?"

Harper shrugged, trying to play it cool, but her flushed cheeks gave her away. "They ran a little feature on it last week, yeah. It's nothing major, just a mention in their 'Best Reads' section."

"It's major," Savannah insisted, nudging her. "And don't forget the interview request from the Today Show. People loved the way you wrote about the team—especially a certain someone." She shot Spencer a pointed look.

"Don't start," Harper muttered, though her grin betrayed her.

Morgan laughed, leaning toward Spencer. "She's being modest. They're calling it one of the most insightful pieces on the BAU ever written. Guess who's front and centre in all the praise?"

Spencer's ears turned red, and he adjusted his vest awkwardly. "I'm sure the praise was about the team, not just me."

Harper gave him a sidelong look. "The team is important, but your work stands out. People want to know the human side of genius. You just made it easy to write about."
