Eren's smirk softened into a more serious expression than before as he leaned against the bed railings. "Because I can." Eren declared firmly as he softly watched you unboxing the laptop, his gaze fixated on your every move.
"Someone's got to watch over you." Eren sarcastically said as he walked over to the door. "I can take care of myself, thanks." You firmly said as you opened up the computer that was on your lap.
"Can you though?" Eren smirked as those words slipped out of his mouth as he exited your room before you could talk back to him.
You sighed whilst looking at the laptop in front of you. The more you examined the room, the more hurt you felt that Eren dragged you into this mess. You didn't know how to feel about the whole thing and that killed you inside.
The college years that you longingly dreamed of turned out to end up like this. The rivalry football games, the college sweethearts, the freedom you dreamt about since high-school, turned out to be this. Sleeping over a man's house who you barely know good enough for your own safety was definitely not on your bucket list.
The laptop was beautiful, as in electronically. Eren's laptop seemed outdated when he used it in your dorm room, which made you question why he didn't have any newly modeled computers due to how wealthy he was by judgement of his house and cars.
You signed in with a different email under a different name since you figured Jean would've probably tracked you down with your regular email, so you chose something that didn't contain your name nor same sex.
You logged into your school dashboard and browsed for assignments to do, but couldn't find any activities for you to complete that day.
Furrowing your eyebrows, you decided to grab breakfast from Eren's kitchen or something. Walking up to the door, you met eyes with your personal bodyguard. Lucas stood tall as he wore a black suit and tie that had no wrinkles at all.
His tan complexion made him look even more dazzling as you grew your eyes closer to him. Lucas glanced over to you for second, before turning his head towards the front view of his eyes. "So, you're Y/N?" Lucas questioned, not making any sort of eye contact with you.
"Yup. Lucas, right?" You replied as you watched him gently nod and turned his body around to face you. "Anything that you'd like assisting to?" Lucas questioned as he remained as professional as he could. "Can I have some breakfast?" You politely asked while trying to maintain a positive attitude, when in reality you wanted to go to sleep and somehow wake up back in your dorm room.
"Yeah, just go downstairs and I'm sure the chef will whip you up anything you desire." Lucas says as he shot you a cocky smile, like he hated every ounce of his job. You slightly nodded as you began walking down the stairs of Eren's house, wondering if his bodyguards would be shot in the head for smiling or showing any emotion.
As you reached the bottom of the stairs, the dark taupe walls immediately began closing onto you. The ominous vibe of Eren's house filled you as you crept towards the kitchen, or so you thought.
You find yourself in an extravagant dining room with a long table that is filled with men in dark-toned suits. Each one of them having unique and delicate facial qualities that stood each individual out more as you longingly gazed upon them.
Everything from their suits screamed wealth, elegance, and even a secret type of aura that circled around their body. One man in particular, wiped their head around to face you. His blonde curtained styled bangs slightly covered his lush blue eyed as they glistening across yours.
He almost looked extremely familiar, but you couldn't seem to notice him. His mouth slightly parted as he was about to speak. "Y/N?!" The voice of the man spoke as you finally began to recognize him.
"Armin?!" You gasped as you struck your pointer finger at him in disbelief. Who would've ever thought Armin would be apart of whatever organization that Eren links himself with? The humiliation you could feel by just looking at him made you furious in anger.
"What are you doing here? Don't tell me you're apart of this." You furiously questioned him with a straight face. Armin stood up leaving the grand table that stood in front of him, and leaded you to a more secluded area by gently grabbing your wrist.
"Who the fuck let you in here? You can't be here." Armin said, keeping his tone slow but loud enough for you to get the hint. Staring at his eyes, you slightly furrowed your eyebrows in response to his question. "Eren brought me here. Supposedly I'm being tracked down by Jean, and—"
Cutting you off completely, Armin slightly choked on his spit as he heard you utter those words out. "Jean is after you?" Armin repeated as he immediately went to full panic mode, like you never seen someone react that fast.
You slightly nodded, gulping down your spit whilst you waited for Armin to say something. Instead, he took off the blazer he was wearing and laid it out on the chair nearby to him. He slightly groaned in agony as he pulled out a Marlboros pack from his pocket, along with a lighter.
With furrowed eyebrows, he lit up a cigarette piece that was sitting at the tips of his lips, clasping the flame with his palms to avoid it extinguishing before puffing the smoke out in the air.
"I seen this coming." Armin mumbled, sitting down onto the chair with his legs crossed. "Eren always finds a way to drag someone down with him in his own problems. Like a whirlpool." Armin stated as he gestured you to take a seat beside him, and so you did. "What do you mean?" You questioned Armin, placing the side of your cheek on your palm.
Armin glanced over to you with a slight sigh escaping his lips. "He should've stayed over at someone else's place, instead of yours." Armin declared, placing the cigarette onto the ashtray beside him. Leaving you with no other words to say, you decided to just jump into it. "So, why are you here?" You questioned, resting your cheek on your palm.
Armin left out a small scoff, picking leftover skin from his lips. "I'm here for business." Armin clarified, answering your question. He swept up from his chair and stood in front of you, about to speak. He leaned in close to your face as the closeness between the two faces were almost an inch away from your lips to his.
"If you tell anyone about this, I mean anyone. I promise you that you'll never get a chance to speak."
