Flynn managed to pass his exams with flying colors, thanks to Isa's hard work, Isa parents helped so that Isa's reputation wouldn't be tainted with fraud and impersonation. But Carmen was still reeling from the shock of discovering Isa's true identity.
For days, Carmen couldn't stop crying. Every time she thought about Isa, her heart hurt. She was also scared, unsure of how to process her feelings. Was she gay? Did she really have feelings for Isa?
Prom night arrived, and Carmen decided to go with a senior who had asked her out during the Flynn scandal which was going on. But as she danced and laughed with her date, she couldn't shake off the feeling that something was missing, it was Isa she wanted to dance and laugh with.
That's when she saw him - the real Flynn. He was being his usual jerk self, making fun of people and being rude. Carmen watched in disgust, realizing that she had never really liked Flynn in the first place.
It was Isa's personality, her kindness, and her compassion that Carmen had fallen for. Not Flynn's face, but Isa's heart.
Carmen couldn't take what she was feeling anymore. She excused herself from her date and slipped out of the prom venue. She made her way to Isa's house, her heart pounding with excitement and nervousness.
When Isa opened the door, Carmen's heart skipped a beat. "Carmen, what are you doing here?" Isa asked, looking surprised.
Carmen took a deep breath. "I needed to see you. I missed you."
Isa's eyes locked onto Carmen's. "But you sai-"
Carmen's voice trembled interrupting Isa. "I know what I said, I realized that I don't like Flynn. I like you, Isa. Your kindness, your heart...that's what I fell for."
Isa's face lit up with a smile. "Carmen, I..."
But before Isa could finish, Carmen leaned in and kissed her. It was a soft, gentle kiss, but it spoke volumes.
Isa's heart soared as she wrapped her arms around Carmen. "I've missed you, like a lot" Isa whispered.
Carmen smiled, her eyes shining with tears. "I've missed you too, Isa."
As the night wore on, Carmen and Isa found themselves lost in each other's eyes. They talked about their dreams, their aspirations, and their fears. The connection between them grew stronger with every passing minute.
As the sun began to rise, Carmen and Isa realized they had spent the entire night together. They exchanged sweet goodbyes, promising to meet up again soon.
As they parted ways, Carmen turned to Isa with a mischievous grin. "Hey, since we've both finished high school, what do you say we make a plan for college?"
Isa's eyes sparkled with excitement. "I'd love that! What did you have in mind?"
Carmen's grin grew wider. "How about we live together? We can find a cute little apartment off-campus and start our new life together."
Isa's heart skipped a beat. She had never imagined living with someone, let alone the girl she loved. But as she looked into Carmen's eyes, she knew it was exactly what she wanted.
"Yes, yes, a million times yes!" Isa exclaimed, throwing her arms around Carmen.
As they hugged, Carmen whispered, "I love you, Isa."
Isa smiled, her heart full of joy. "I love you too, Carmen."
