Chapter 14: Absence and Confusion

Rhea's mind was still reeling from the previous day's incident. She couldn't shake off the feeling that Aryan's behavior was giving her mixed signals. As she walked to school, she found herself wondering why Aryan had followed Kiara to the hand-wash area.

She replayed the scene in her mind, trying to make sense of Aryan's actions. Had he been interested in Kiara all along? Or was he just being friendly? Rhea couldn't help but feel a pang of jealousy at the thought of Aryan being interested in someone else.

As she entered the classroom, Rhea's eyes scanned the room for Aryan. But he was nowhere to be found. She checked her watch, noticing that it was 8:42 am. Aryan was never late, and his friends were also waiting for him to arrive.

Rhea's curiosity was piqued. She wondered if Aryan was okay, and why he hadn't informed his friends about his absence. The bell rang, signaling the start of the morning prayer. Rhea closed her eyes, hoping that Aryan would walk in during the prayer.

But when she opened her eyes at 9:00 am, he was still nowhere to be found. Rhea felt a pang of disappointment and sadness. She couldn't understand why she was feeling this way. She had never felt so invested in someone's presence before.

She wondered if Aryan was absent due to some emergency or if he was simply skipping school. Rhea's mind was filled with questions, and she couldn't shake off the feeling that something was off.

Throughout the day, Rhea found herself distracted and unable to focus on her studies. Her mind kept wandering back to Aryan, wondering why he was absent and whether he was okay.

She tried to push the thoughts aside, focusing on her schoolwork instead. But it was no use. Rhea's mind was preoccupied with thoughts of Aryan, and she couldn't concentrate on anything else.

As the day went on, Rhea found herself glancing at the clock every few minutes. She was waiting for the school day to end, hoping that Aryan would be back to normal tomorrow.

But as the final bell rang, signaling the end of the school day, Rhea felt a pang of disappointment. She had been hoping to see Aryan, to find out why he was absent and whether he was okay.

As she walked home from school, Rhea couldn't shake off the feeling that something was off. She quickly checked her phone, hoping to see some update from Aryan. But his WhatsApp status was empty.

Rhea noticed that Aryan was online, and she felt a sudden urge to message him. But she hesitated, remembering the incident with Kiara the previous day. She decided to wait for him to message her instead.

As the day went on, Rhea waited anxiously for Aryan's message. But it didn't come. Instead, she received a notification that Aryan had liked her WhatsApp status. Her heart skipped a beat as she quickly opened the app, only to find that Aryan had immediately removed the like.

Rhea felt a pang of disappointment and confusion. She wondered if Aryan was playing with her feelings or if he was simply too shy to express his emotions.

As the night drew to a close, Rhea couldn't help but feel cornered and confused by Aryan's behavior. She didn't know what to make of his absence, or his sudden interest in her WhatsApp status.

All she knew was that she couldn't stop thinking about Aryan, and the way he made her feel. She felt like she was stuck in a state of limbo, unsure of what the future held for her and Aryan.

As she lay in bed, Rhea couldn't help but wonder what Aryan was thinking. Was he interested in her, or was he just being friendly? And why had he been absent from school that day?

The questions swirled in Rhea's mind, keeping her awake long into the night. She knew that she wouldn't be able to rest until she got some answers.

As the night wore on, Rhea found herself replaying every interaction she had ever had with Aryan. She analyzed every word, every gesture, trying to make sense of his behavior.

But no matter how hard she tried, Rhea couldn't shake off the feeling that Aryan was hiding something from her. She didn't know what it was, but she was determined to find out.

As the first light of dawn crept into her room, Rhea finally drifted off to sleep, her mind still racing with thoughts of Aryan and the mystery surrounding him.
