Title: "The Unspoken Connection"
Chapter 8: "A Chance Encounter"
Rhea walked out of the school building, lost in thought. She couldn't shake off the feeling that Aryan's silence was a sign of rejection. As she walked down the street, she noticed a familiar figure standing by the corner.
It was Aryan.
Rhea's heart skipped a beat as she approached him. She didn't know what to say or do, but she felt a sense of relief wash over her. Maybe this was her chance to clear the air and find out what was really going on.
Aryan looked up and caught her eye, his expression softening. "Hey, Rhea," he said, his voice low and gentle.
Rhea felt a flutter in her chest as she smiled at him. "Hey, Aryan," she replied, trying to sound casual.
They stood there for a moment, the silence between them palpable. Rhea felt like she was waiting for something, but she didn't know what.
Finally, Aryan spoke up. "Rhea, can I talk to you for a minute?" he asked, his eyes locked onto hers.
Rhea's heart skipped a beat as she nodded. "Of course, Aryan," she replied, her voice barely above a whisper.
As they walked together, Rhea felt a sense of excitement and nervousness. What was Aryan going to say to her? Was he going to confess his feelings, or was he going to tell her that he wasn't interested?
Rhea didn't know what to expect, but she was determined to find out.
Just as Aryan was about to speak, Rhea's alarm clock blared to life, jolting her awake. She sat up in bed, rubbing her eyes, and realized that it had all been a dream.
Disappointment washed over her as she checked her phone, only to see that Aryan still hadn't responded to her message. The PDF she had sent him remained unread.
Rhea sighed, feeling frustrated and restless. The school was off for four days, and she wouldn't be able to see Aryan's face until then. She spent the whole day at home, her mind wandering back to him again and again.
She tried to focus on her studies, but she couldn't concentrate. All she could think about was Aryan, and why he hadn't responded to her message.
As the day drew to a close, Rhea couldn't shake off the feeling that she was stuck in limbo, waiting for Aryan to make his move. But as the hours ticked by, she realized that she might be waiting for a long time.
