The Unspoken Connection"
Chapter 12: A Change in Behavior
Rhea walked into her classroom, expecting a typical day of lectures and notes. But little did she know, today would be different. As she settled into her seat, she noticed Aryan walking in, his eyes scanning the room until they landed on hers.
For a moment, they just stared at each other, the rest of the class fading into the background. Rhea felt a flutter in her chest as Aryan's gaze held hers, a soft smile playing on his lips.
As the day went on, Rhea couldn't help but notice a change in Aryan's behavior. He was more energetic, more participative, and more... noticeable. He would raise his hand to answer every question, his eyes locking onto Rhea's as if seeking her approval.
But Rhea was struggling to stay awake. She had stayed up late the night before, and now she was paying the price. Her eyelids drooped, and she rested her head on her desk, hoping to catch a few winks.
Just as she was drifting off to sleep, she heard a voice whispering in her ear. "Let's sleep." Rhea's eyes snapped open, and she looked around, wondering who was speaking to her. That's when she saw Aryan, sitting across from her, a mischievous grin spreading across his face.
It turned out that Aryan was asking his friends to sleep, but Rhea had thought he was talking to her. She felt a flush rise to her cheeks as she realized her mistake.
As the day went on, Rhea couldn't help but notice Aryan's blushing. His face would turn a deep shade of pink, and he would look away, trying to compose himself. It was as if he was struggling to contain his emotions, and Rhea couldn't help but wonder what was causing this sudden change in him.
During the breaks, Aryan would find excuses to linger near Rhea, his eyes following her as she moved around the classroom. Even when she was walking back to her seat with Neha, Aryan would trail behind them, his gaze fixed on Rhea.
What struck Rhea as odd was that Aryan seemed to be going out of his way to get her attention. Was it possible that he had developed feelings for her? And if so, how did she feel about it?
Rhea's mind was a whirlwind of questions and doubts as she packed up her bags and headed home. Little did she know, this was only the beginning of a new chapter in her life, one that would bring her closer to Aryan and challenge everything she thought she knew about herself.
To be continued....
