Title: "The Unspoken Connection"
Chapter 4: A Message and a Smile*
That evening, Aryan settled into his favorite spot on the couch, his phone in hand. He navigated to Instagram, scrolling through his feed until he came across Zara's profile.
He hesitated for a moment before sending her a direct message. "Hey, Zara. Can we talk about something?" he typed, his fingers flying across the screen.
Zara responded almost immediately. "What's up, Aryan?"
Aryan took a deep breath before asking the question that had been plaguing him all day. "Is Rhea really jealous of me asking you for help?"
There was a pause before Zara responded. "Oh, Aryan, no! I was just joking earlier. Rhea wasn't serious about being jealous."
Aryan's face lit up with a smile as he read Zara's message. He felt a weight lift off his shoulders, relief washing over him.
He couldn't believe he'd let Zara's joke get to him. He'd been so caught up in his own feelings that he'd misinterpreted the situation entirely.
Aryan's smile grew wider as he thought about Rhea. He couldn't wait to see her again, to catch her eye and smile.
He felt a sense of excitement, of anticipation. He knew that he still had to be careful, to respect Rhea's boundaries. But he couldn't help the way he felt.
As he drifted off to sleep that night, Aryan's mind was filled with thoughts of Rhea. He smiled to himself, feeling a sense of hope that he hadn't felt in a long time.
To be continued....
