Chapter 9: "Counting Down the Days"

Two days had passed since the school holiday began, and Rhea was already feeling restless. She missed the routine of school, the chatter of her friends, and most of all, she missed Aryan's glares.

Rhea couldn't help but feel a pang of excitement whenever she thought about Aryan. She loved the way he looked at her, his eyes intense and piercing. She even loved the way he ignored her, his silence speaking volumes about his feelings.

As she lay in bed, Rhea couldn't help but feel a sense of disappointment. There were still two days left before school reopened, and she couldn't wait that long to see Aryan again.

She tossed and turned, her mind racing with thoughts of Aryan. Why hadn't he responded to her message? Was he still interested in her, or had he moved on?

But amidst all these thoughts, a nagging doubt crept into Rhea's mind. What if Aryan didn't feel the same way about her? What if he was actually interested in someone else?

Rhea's thoughts turned to Zara, her classmate and friend. Aryan always seemed to be chatting with Zara, laughing and joking with her. And on Instagram, Aryan always replied to Zara's messages, whereas Rhea didn't even have an account.

Rhea felt a pang of jealousy as she thought about Aryan's easy camaraderie with Zara. Why did he always respond to Zara's messages, but ignore hers? Rhea had sent him a PDF on WhatsApp, but he hadn't even seen it, let alone replied.

Rhea's thoughts swirled with doubts and fears, making it impossible for her to fall asleep. She finally drifted off into a fitful slumber, her dreams filled with visions of Aryan's piercing gaze.

The next morning, Rhea woke up feeling groggy and irritable. She knew she had to find a way to distract herself from thoughts of Aryan, or she'd go crazy.

She spent the day watching TV, browsing social media, and reading books. But no matter what she did, she couldn't shake off the feeling of restlessness.

As the day drew to a close, Rhea realized that she had to find a way to occupy herself for the next two days. She couldn't just sit around waiting for school to reopen.

But as she lay in bed that night, Rhea couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement. She knew that in just two days, she'd be back in school, and back in Aryan's presence.

And she couldn't wait.

As she drifted off to sleep, Rhea's mind was filled with thoughts of Aryan. She was confused - previously, she had only seen him as her competitor in studies, someone she needed to beat. But now, his thoughts didn't let her sleep. She always find herself engaged in imagining Aryan's cute smile when he looks at her. She couldn't understand why she was feeling this way, why Aryan's presence had started to affect her so deeply.

Rhea's thoughts swirled with confusion and uncertainty, but one thing was clear - she couldn't wait to see Aryan again, to find out what he was thinking, and to see if he felt the same way about her.
