Enora's POV
I had no idea I could see Jullian’s house from up here. Not close enough though but close enough to see the Raven twins and their parents. Looks like they are really close. I was distracted by the buzzing of my phone, and then I looked down, outside our gate; Crystal’s car.
I pulled my phone out of my pocket. She was the one.
“Hey,” I pressed the phone to my ear.
“I'm out,” she dragged and ended the call. Most ridiculous.
I smirked and found my way down the terrace. Grabbed my bag and ran towards my dad's room, I'm in the mood to drive a Tesla today. I knocked but no response so I opened it.
“Urgghh,” I groaned, covering my eyes. They were having early morning sex.
“Hey, Princess,” my Dad called tiredly, panting.
“I fucking knocked,” I groaned, making my way to the drawer he keeps his car keys and avoiding looking at them.
I grabbed the Tesla keys and turned around.
“Enora,” my mother called. I paused but refused to turn around. “C'mon look at me, we aren't naked,” she said in-between laughter.
“Yeah,” I turned around and they truly had the blanket over their bodies but my dad was still on top of her, supporting his weight with his hands.
“Be good,” she smiles, folding her fingers and stretching them towards me.
I walked closer and fist-bumped her. My dad seized the opportunity to peck my cheek.
“Is that my shirt?” My mom finally noticed I was wearing her cream-colored, sweater shirt.
I dashed out of the door avoiding answering her question and I heard their distant laughter. I had the idea to check on Nael but then I noticed his car wasn't parked outside, he must have gone out with Philip and Nadia earlier.
I rushed out and drove out the short gates in my Dad's blue Tesla. I stopped the car beside Crystal’s.
“You are early,” she groaned.
“I'm sorry, I have had a really weird morning,” I smiled.
“It's okay,” she said putting away her phone.
“Ok, so, you'd get the cupcakes, sweets, and water while I go grab the pizza, and burgers,” I said.
“C’mon, there would be water in school.” She protested.
“It's Saturday, I don't think that the vending machines will work and the cafeteria won't be open as well,” I thought about what I had just said.
She suddenly burst into laughter.
“Enora, No one can stop the vending machine from working, I don't know about the cafeteria though. We should ask Nael, he has been to several Saturday detention.”
We both laughed and then zoomed off. We got the necessary stuff and met at school again. I lifted the heavy pizza boxes and burger packs into the detention room, they were pretty heavy but I survived. As I walked into the class, I almost threw away the boxes when I was met with the sight of a black wild cat.
I shrieked out of fear, tossing the boxes on the teacher's table in front.
“Relax,” says Jullian, an evil grin appearing on his face. “It's a Jaguar, and she's harmless I promise,” He added.
Doesn't make things a tiny bit better.
“Well, you shouldn't bring your wild pet to school In a class filled with other people's children,” I whined, feeling my hands hurt from carrying so much.
I avoided the cat and walked to my seat. Crystal came in a few minutes later obviously terrified by the wild animal in the room.
“Urghh, do you guys have to scare people to win,” Crystal was obviously irritated.
She sat next to me and then gulped down a bottle of water.
“I need to use the bathroom,” she muttered a few moments later.
“I'd come with you,” I responded and we left together.
“I heard that…” Crystal paused and then continued fixing her hair, staring into the mirror.
“What?” I questioned, tucking my phone into my Pocket.
“Jullian, Finn, and the Lord Twins transferred from the same high school In Washington,” Crystal completed her statement.
“Ohh my, that's why they are acting like childhood friends,” I added more lipgloss.
“Actually, they are. Just like You, me, Nael, and Lili,” she turned to me and smiled.
“Hmmn,” I hummed a response and feigned a smile.
They are childhood friends? Then why is Amy trying to protect Jullian from Jemimah? That's true, I have never seen them speak. Always Jullian and Janae. I contemplated telling Crystal about the conversation I overheard but I shrugged it off.
“Do you want to tell me something?” Asked Crystal.
“Maybe,” I wanted to keep her on the edge for a little bit.
“C'mon spill it,’ She groaned.
“I overheard Amy saying she was here to protect Jullian from Jemimah, well that's not exactly how she said it but that's what it meant,” I explained.
“Hmmn, I'd get to the bottom of it,” she said. She's right, she gets to the bottom of everything.
We exited the bathroom and went back to class just as the others were submitting their phones. We submitted ours too and waited for the next instruction. Just then Mrs Williams started appointing us different seat mates.
Crystal was to sit next to Finn.
I was to sit next to Janae
Jullian and Anne
Nael and Jemimah.
I could see the irritation on my brother's face but the rest of us seemed cool with our seat partners. I sat next to Janae with no intention of speaking to her. I spent half an hour twirling my pencil in my hand, not knowing what to write while my seatmate had pretty much written a lot.
“Struggling to write uhn?” Janae asked, a smile plastered across her face.
I sat up and cleared my throat a little nervous about how to respond.
“Yeah, writing is not really my thing,” I responded.
“I can help you,” she smiled. I looked down at her papers and they were almost full.
“You can start by how you woke up on Tuesday, tell us a little about the other characters that are featured in your story as you introduced them into your scenes. Just be creative and pour out your thoughts,” she explained.
I nodded and pretended to understand what she had just said. She laughed at my pretense and gave me her story to read.
“It could help if you read mine,” she said.
Just as I was about to start reading, Jemimah hit the teacher's table, calling all our attention to the front. Everyone murmured silent but her sister sighed, the type of sigh I would have made if Nael was about to do something stupid.
“I'm running for student body president,” she began. “...and I want all your support,” she smiled like there was something funny.
