I pulled the Sorority girls wrist from my mouth as my brother and his girlfriend arrived home "so, how was school?" I asked with a wink when Elena's face scrunched up in disgust at the blood that was on my face, the sorority girl was passed out next to me, I'd offered her a shoulder to cry on and alcohol aka a college students kryptonite.
"You can't feed on people," Elena said in a preachy voice causing me to laugh as I wiped my blood-stained lips onto the girl's shirt.
"Oh, I can," I said with a smirk as I bit my wrist and shoved it to the girl's mouth to heal her, my eyes locked onto Stefan who was watching the wound on the girl's wrist heal "where's our brother?" I asked snapping my brother out of his thoughts of the good old days where he used to rip apart whole villages just because his blood lust would get the better of him, I'd learnt after I'd been turned that Stefan had never been taught how to control his blood lust, he now only lives off of animals but even with that he still gets blood ragey.
"Getting Ric, we're discussing our problem," Stefan said his eyes still lingering on the girl, sighing I stood up and threw her unconscious body over my shoulder and decided that it was going to be easier to keep my brothers attention on the serious issues that were at hand.
"Well I'm gonna take my snack upstairs and I'll be back" I patted the girl's rump and ran up the stairs to the room my human nephew had set up for me, Samantha had told me that Zach had been killed by Damon a year or so ago, I was Zach's favourite only because I hardly showed up and when I did I kept the killing to a bare minimum, unlike two brothers that shall remain nameless.
I placed the girl on my bed and wrote her a note that pretty much told her where the pain meds were and that she had free rain of the shower if she so desired and slipped her some of my blood, she would be out for a few more hours. As I came down the stairs and into the foyer I came face to face with Isobel's husband, Alaric, "Ric this is my sister Alex, Alex meet Ric" Damon said as he closed the front door and walked into the parlour.
"I've seen you before" Ric mumbled as his little human brain tried to place my face somewhere in the past, it was true we had met, briefly, but it was long ago and he was barely a senior in college and Isobel was researching my family and hometown.
"I have one of those faces" I replied with a shrug.
"Thanks for coming, Ric" Stefan said with a nod as we walked into the parlour and Alaric took a seat on one of the couches.
"Can I get you something to drink?" I asked playing hostess seeing as my brothers seemed to lack any form of manners "coffee? Bourbon?" I said pouring myself yet another drink, if I were human and didn't heal as quickly as I did my liver would be screwed, thank god for vampiric healing "bourbon in your coffee?" I smirked as Damon took the glass I was holding out to him.
"Elena mentioned you needed my help" Alaric was still staring at me with curious eyes, he was still trying to put a face to a name which was good because that meant that Isobel kept me as a secret.
"Yeah, we were hoping you could help shed some light on the Lockwood family" Stefan said as he took a seat next to Elena and squeezed her hand in support while giving her a small smile.
"Now, why would I know anything about the Lockwood's?" Alaric said turning his head to meet Stefan's gaze and then he locked eyes with Damon when he came to sit the chair in front of me, their conversation was going to be boring as all get out but I might as well stick around until the human woke up.
"Why, you wouldn't, but your dead, not dead vampire wife might" Damon said with a smirk as I shook my head at his antics, Alaric clearly knew what had happened to his wife because he just rolled his eyes.
