I yell at them to hurry up. They are already taking too long and i'm pissed. That bitch tadgh and my sister weren't in her room when I went looking. But it might be better, more pain this way. If I were to kill her it would only hurt for a little bit but this way it will hurt for the rest of her life. Better for her to be alive and griveing then dead.
Meabh comes running out. Her blonde hair swaying in the breeze, blonde hair that will hopefully be stain red soon. I help her get in the car, careful not to touch her. I don't want to feel scared, I'm not scared. I don't put he seatbelt on. I close the door.
Yelling out at my mum to hurry, I get in the car myself. Taking a sip of the beer left in the middle counsel. I take a deep breath. The door to my left open and my mum slips in. She has tears in her eyes and is clutching a ripped in half photo like her life depends on it. Maybe it does.
Not waiting for her to settle, I speed off. I serve every where not being able to stay in the lines because of the alcohol flowing through my vains. I know where I need to go. To the bend in the road where a bouqut of flowers for my dad sit. Where he died.
My sister killed him. It's her fault he was out that night, it's her fault that she made him go in the pouring rain. It's her fault that he's tires slip causing him to go off the edge. That's where Im going now. I want to go the same way he did. To feel a little closer to him.
The car scrapes another and I barley keep driving. There's light behind us. Blue and red. The police. I won't let them get me. I need her to feel pain. To scream and cry for people who can't come back. Like I did.
Another car scapes our side. Meabh is screaming. Scared. She should be.
"Ciarain stop. You don't have to do this." My mums voice pulls me out of the hole.
"Yes I do. They know. I'll never be able to walk free." I would much rather spend the rest of my life in a dirt hole then a concrete hole.
"She will forgive you." She yells over the sounds. "You don't want to do this, you don't want to kill your family. If you do then you're as bad as her."
She killed my dad. I'm killing my family. I'm no better then her. I don't want to do this. I just wanted my dad, that's all I ever wanted. This whole time I was getting revenge for him. It didn't matter who it was, it didn't have to be her.
My mother takes my moment of remorse as her chance to stop me. She reaches over to get control of the steering wheel but I push her hands away. Nobody's holding onto the wheel. The car goes into the next lane. There's no barrier. I'm scared.
The last thing I hear is my mother screaming no and then we go over the edge. The moments we are in the air is peaceful. I can't feel my body, my thoughts are no longer there. It's quiet. I can see the ground getting closer and closer and closer and then it's there. The car hits the ground and then there black.
All I know now is black.
