I woke-up one morning and was surprised to find myself lying down a covered patch of grass. But as I took a closer look, it wasn't a portion of land that broke my fall, it was no other than a human-sized net disguised as a bush.

As I wiggled my way out of the entire thing, I had not the slightest idea as to where I am and how I've ended up here. It felt like everything was just a dream.

With nothing else to be said, there was only one thing I can do.

I had to head back home.

I knew I was by the shore because I was soaking wet. The first words that only came out of my mouth were a bunch of gurgles and helks.

"Helk! Krr-r-rr... " *Cough*

"Ughhhhh..."

Fortunately, I wasn't alone.

------------------------------------------

I was now face-to-face with something ten times bigger than me. It's black fur slowly brushed against my head as it's two beady eyes were looking straight at mine. It felt as if I knew this creature. And for a moment, it lowered its neck for me so that I could properly stand. This Dire Woltahx didn't seem to have a harness. It also looked like he didn't have an owner either.

==================================================

*A Dire Woltahx is a large animal that has a face and strength of a wolf, the speed and body of a cheetah and the long tail and fur of a fox.*

"Hm, it seems like your lost too... aren't you big guy?"

Strangely, it didn't attack. Without even saying a word, the poor creature slowly lifted me up on its soft back. That night, all I could remember was my body landing in the icy waters. It was strange because I found rest within it and I felt like I needn't go back-up. Wherever we were going, all I wanted to do was to get out of there, away from it all.

For a while, the only thought that ran through my mind was the word, *protect.*

"I'm sorry for the problems I've caused everyone, especially to you... Tina'e..."

With everything said and done, we headed South.
