Tina'e's Viewpoint:
As soon as Nathas gave the signal, I saw it.
I heard him.
And I too felt the tugging on the chain.
But as I started to loose hope,
a man barged right through room.
It was just another Satisin, but this time, he looked way bigger.
I'm pretty sure he was the general, but who am I kidding.
Nothing's looking up for me right now.
I tried to eavesdropp on their conversation but the thrashing and moving of the chains made it almost impossible to hear.
Luckily, I was able to hear parts of it.
With a deep low voice, the general said:
"We are having a bit of a problem in the west corridor."
"Why? Can't you handle it?" Nathas replied.
"Sir, he's here."
Nathas was speechless.
He turned around, toward my brother and whispered something in his ear.
Whatever he told him, it must've been for my sake.
Apparently, it worked.
As Antan rapidly left the room, I knew that something was wrong.
By chance, Ely was unharmed.
I've noticed that the cracks atop the ceiling were now gone.
But it seemed like it was my turn to bear his wait.
After a while though, I heard a faint whisper.
"A-re y-ou alri-ght?" Elijah said, a hurt expression on his face.
"I should be the one asking you."
Unfortunately, our talk was brief.
Guards were still about and it seemed like they only wanted some peace and quiet.
By the expression on their faces, I realized, they too were oddly terrified.
But these were still highly trained assassins, if we made one slight movement or gesture, we could be done-fore.
"Oww.."
My broken knee still seemed to be healing, but not as rapidly as before.
"At least..." I told myself.
The silence went on for another few minutes or so when all of a sudden, the Satisins rushed out of the room.
Something terrible has gone wrong.
...........
And we were not going to stick around to find out.
Elijah's Viewpoint:
As soon as it touched my skin, my entire body was in pain.
I tried my very best to avoid it but it seemed like the chains were limiting my actions.
"KEEP HER SAFE! KEEP HER SAFE! KEEP HER SAFE!"
That was the only thing that was running through my mind.
It was almost impossible to keep still.
"I hope she's alright..."
My back started to let out steam and once I was on my knees, another Satisin appeared in the doorway.
His name was Diekliever, general and right hand man of Nathas.
I overheard their conversation and it seemed like a fire has started in one of corridors.
But that's not what got Nathas' attention.
It was what the general said:
"Sir, he's here."
His eyes widened and as it did, he slowly came up to me and whispered:
"If you try anything funny...
-he looked at my sister-
... she's gonna get it. And if you DON'T show me the map to its location, I will gladly do the honor of giving your eulogy to your beloved parents as I burn their corpses A L I V E!
And trust me when I say this... you'd definitely not like me when I'm angry..."
He left the room, as quickly and as silently as he had entered.
And before I knew it, I noticed the ceiling went back to its original form.
I was tired.
I did not dare even try to look at what my back has in store for me.
It was my chance.
I silently called out to her:
"A-re y-ou alri-ght?"
She responded with a cute smile on her face:
"I should be the one asking you."
I was glad. But it's been a while ever since I've seen a smile on her face like that. Mom could only bring out such a smile. I knew that she was still troubled.
I noticed that she had a problem with moving her legs.
She was hurt pretty bad.
"This was all your fault...WHY COULDN'T YOU KEEP STILL?!" I told myself.
My self-loathing lasted for a few minutes until, the unexpected happened.
All of the guards started rushing out of the doorway.
"Something's not right..."
It was time.
It was here.
And it was our chance.
