Elijah's Viewpoint:

The smell of soot was hovering around the air.

And the heat was making its way through the passageways.

I've seen this before.

I've experienced it as well.

And this time, we were next in line.

I didn't want this to happen again.

"If someone's going to die then it's going to be me." I thought to myself.

The air started getting denser and denser.

Smog was coming in from creaks, holes and even through the gaps in the doors.

There was no way of escape.

As I tried to call-out for my sister, the barred rooftop has suddenly been unbolted.

The moonlight was now free.

Tina'e and I will soon perish.

But as the smoke cleared away a bit, I saw a shadow of a man.

He was lean, sleek, tall and all covered in white.I didn't know if he was friend or foe but it didn't matter. All I know is that if we stay longer in here, we're all going to die of suffocation.

The smoke started to thicken again and it looks like he found his first target,

Tina'e.

"Whoever you are, GET AWAY FROM HER!" I yelled.

He simply ignored me and kept on moving toward her.

"I'm warning you, BACK-OFF!"

As he reached for Tina'e, I noticed something about him.

Upon his right arm, I noticed a mark.

I could not believe my eyes. The tattoo on his arm resembled what appeared to be a sun. It was the kingsmark.

He was one of the guardians of sol.

I relaxed a bit.

The tension on my shoulders have completely disappeared, but what I saw with my eyes was completely unbelievable.

With just one slice of his dagger, he was able to remove her chains.

She was free once more. I was speechless but shortly after that, voices and loud footsteps started emanating from the hallway.

"They're coming!" I yelled to the masked stranger.

"Take her, take her and get out of here!"

The man just stared at me.

They were getting closer.

"Please, I beg of you... Keep her safe."

The man considered his options and didn't think twice.

"GO! NOW!" I shouted.

As I watched him climb up with my sister in his grasp, the Satisins arrived.

Luckily, they got out.

The beating of my faint heart was all I can hear.

I can finally die in peace, rest- assured that she was safe in the hands of a savior.

Nathas came back in with a look of defeat upon his face. He then looked straight at me.

Fortunately for me, the night has only begun.

Tina'e's Viewpoint:

"Whatever was coming, I didn't want to be a part of it." I told myself.

For some odd reason, I started feeling a little light-headed.

My brain couldn't cope with whatever it was that was messing with my mind.

And for a second, I saw something or someone standing in front of me.

—————CLOSED EYES—————-

I was dizzy.

I heard the sound of a blade.

————-OPENED EYES——————

My chains were gone.

————-CLOSED EYES——————

"Take her, take her and get out of here..."

It was Ely.

"But what did he mean by it?"

————-OPENED EYES—————-

I was lifted on top of something.

————-CLOSED EYES—————-

The Satisins were coming.

Foot steps can be heard from the hallway.

————-OPENED EYES—————-

"Please, I beg  of you... Keep her safe."

————-CLOSED EYES—————-

"They're coming!" I heard him say it.

"GO! NOW!"

I felt a painful stab in my stomach.

It was as if I was being heaved by some sort of rope.

From there, I sensed an entire change in my surroundings.

The air was cleaner and the night was cold.

I lost consciousness and kept my eyes closed.

I didn't want them open.

But the last thing I remembered was being placed down a soft fur pillow. Apparently, this pillow started moving faster and faster. And it was strange because I swore I heard a pulse.

I didn't know if I should be terrified, angry or thankful because I knew that I was out, but he was still in. I could've at least done something to help Elijah, but I seemed liked I was too late.

Whoever this person was, he was truly my savior.
