A few minutes after that, Derek urged me to follow him straight outside the tent. He looked very jumpy and then I asked him:
"Woah there! Slow down! Where are we going!?!"
"Just follow me."
I didn't quite understand at that time, but I guess I was about to find out.
We hurriedly made our way across the campsite and once we arrived at the place, we came face to face with a huge tent. I had a feeling that someone important must be waiting for us on the inside. And without a second thought, Derek barged in.
"MOM?!?" He shouted.
Surprisingly, no one was there. And from the looks of Derek's face, he was completely speechless.
*Sigh*... I could've sworn I heard her voice... Maybe I'm just living inside my head again...
"Wait... say that again..."
"What? That I'm living inside my head???"
A thought entered my mind when he had mentioned those few yet important words. NOW I know how I'll be able to find Lady Aloria!
"You're MIND ISN'T TRICKING you Derek! YOUR MOM IS ALIVE! In fact, SHE'S HERE!!!"
"REALLY?!? COULDN'T YOU HAVE TOLD ME SOONER OR LATER!!! But where?!? If she's not in here, where could she possible be?!?"
"Hold on. Let me try something."
I concentrated long and hard about it and began writing a subliminal message in my mind in the hope that she would respond.
"Lady Aloria... Al... Derek's awake! Come by the tent quick! He misses you..."
And with that said and done, all we had to do now was wait. Sitting on the two stools outside the tent, I began to take notice of the prince's lean yet wounded figure. From his head down, I saw nothing but cuts and bruises. His arms were excessively covered with scratches and scars, but luckily his kingsmark was still very much seen. Before I was about to even react on what had happened to his face, he cut me off by asking:
"Are you okay?"
I was completely fine. But then he continued:
"I don't mean to pry and all but, after that incident last night... don't you ever feel kind of... I don't know...sad? You had just lost someone you care about the most and yet... it seems like you're doing well on your own...
"Do I ever feel kind of... sad?"
Always. I thought to myself. But instead I bluntly replied;
"I'm... used to it."
Now that he mentioned it, ever since I was born, faith has never been by my side. All my life has been nothing but a series of unfortunate events, one leading to another. Maybe I was just, unlucky. Looking back, I have lost all the people I have ever cared about. So I guess one could say that I eventually got accustomed to the idea of being alone.
I'M- I'M NOT SAYING IT'S A BAD THING! NO! All I'm trying to say is that, if you ever need someone to talk to or even at least stand by you're side...
I'm here..."
His manner of speaking gave me the impression that he was definitely not messing around. I felt compassion from him. After all these years, I didn't think that I would be needing any of it at the time. I couldn't have been anymore wrong in my entire life. I was grateful for what he had said. So in response, I let out a reassuring grin.
But then, all of a sudden, another thought raced through my mind...
I have completely forgotten about my brother!
ELY!!!

Once I came back in, the prince quickly drew the covers on himself and pretended to be fast asleep.
"Save it boy..."
"How did you know?!?" Derek exclaimed.
"You know you're not that good with your 'subtle' breathing...
"How long?"
"Long enough, my prince."
"Nevertheless, I tried. Better than nothing right?"
"Better than nothing." I repeated to myself. "You're not supposed to be awake. Go back to sleep!" I sneered at him.
"I can't! Once I'm up, I'm up! You know that!
Hmph, there he goes again. He was never that much of a sleeper anyway. I, on the other hand, needed a lot of rest. Unfortunately, my job doesn't call for it. Nevertheless, I needed to contemplate on what exactly happened the other night. I wasn't quite sure if I should warn the King or not, but it seemed like the right thing to do at that time, given my current situation.
*Sigh* "What's an old man to do?"
I later on realized that not only was I hungry, but I was also extremely parched. And since I knew that MOST of my patients were still asleep, it's about time I gave myself a little break and go fetch myself some water.
With my canister in hand, I made my way down the river across the campsite. And while filling it, I saw Lady Aloria talking with the other repmuj. What I saw next made me furious... I subtly hid amongst the shrubs and eavesdropped on their conversation. But it was cut short when another voice intruded their discussion.
It was King Dalereno.
"Aloria???" The King answered.
"OH! Good Morning my King! What are you doing up here at a beautiful morning such as this?"
"I was about to ask you the same thing..."
"BUSTED." I said to myself.
Suddenly, a glistening object fell from Lady Aloria's pocket. It tumbled down near the repmuj's side. This item appeared to be a blade, which the man used to cut himself free.
"FUCK! This can't possibly be?!?" Even if he had brought Tina'e back to us, THAT DOES NOT CHANGE THE FACT THAT HE IS STILL A KILLER! I CAN'T BELIEVE SHE'S LETTING HIM GO AFTER ALL THE TROUBLE HE HAS CAUSED! I can't simply let this happen.
But once he sneaked pass the both of them, along with another of his accomplices, I knew that my task has just begun...
