Derekyanu's Viewpoint:
The last thing I can remember was the sound of my skin being torn open. And as I opened my eyes, Argoeux was putting on some kind of cool slime around my entire body.
"Argo? Where, where a-m I?!?"
"I'll explain everything to you later, but at the mean time, I'm glad you're awake here. Take this." He said with his outstretched hands offering me a drink. And as soon as the gauntlet touched my lips, I immediately gorged down its contents with one big gulp. I never realized that I was this parched.
"Ack! Yekk! What- ack- is that?!?"
"A mixture of my medicinal herbs I found around the forest. It'll help numb the pain...."
I didn't know what he was talking about. I felt completely fine, until I saw my reflection on the bowl of water beside me. It appears that I have been only using my left eye at the time. My right was completely bandaged. As I moved my fingers around the appendages, it felt kind of... empty, like nothing was in its place.
"Thank you Argo, but, would you ca-re to t-ell me ho-w'd I en-d up in h-ere?" I continued asking my physician, nauseous from the drink.
"Don't thank me son, thank you're little friend back there." Motioning his hand to the back.
Once my vision cleared, I noticed a tiny person asleep on a chair across me.
It was no other than Tina'e.
"HOW DID SHE END-UP HERE? WHAT HAPPENED TO HER? AND MORE IMPORTANTLY WHERE IS NATHAS ACKKKKKKKK!
My body was weak, but in anger, I immediately got up from the bed and made it straight out to the entrance. But before I could even make it there, my legs gave-up on me, then my back and then my arms.
"DEREK, you need to take it easy..."
"What's ha-happening to my, my body? WHY CA-N'T I, I M-OVE?!? ACKKKKK!!!"
"It's trying to reject the serum. First your muscles will begin to relax. Second, your speech will begin to fade away and then, finally your brain will be on a full shut-down, for about a few hours or so. I suggest to take my advice and please rest... You'll be needing it."
Argoeux began pushing me slowly back towards my bed. I gave up on arguing and eventually gave in in the hopes that tomorrow everything will be made clear to me. Bit-by-bit my eyelids were getting heavy and before I knew it, I saw a glimpse of my little protector. She looked absolutely terrible. Like me, she's a mess, she's tired and who knows, maybe even starving. But what caught my attention was all the black lines covering her body. One was even running down her left eye.
Almost like... like mine...
And with that in mind... I drifted off to sleep.
Elijah's Viewpoint:
My sister and this woman began to support my weight as we made our way straight to the lights. But what confused me was the fact that instead of taking the straight route, we took another detour down a hill and into a small tent. It was very well hidden. Even I missed it.
"He'll be safe around here, but just to be sure..."
The lady pulled out a piece of rope from her pocket and completely tied my arm to the oak tree beside the little dingy. I wasn't sure if I should be grateful or annoyed by this.
"Is this really necessary?" Tina'e replied.
"I wouldn't want him to be caught too, you know. If Dale finds out were hiding one of Nathas' own', then he'll both have our heads. And besides, I don't want him to wander out in the middle of the night... Who knows what sort of evil scheme he has plotting in that devious mind of his."
"I'm sorry Ely, but this is for your own good. Just try to lay-low a bit, alright? And if you need anything, tug on this vine." My sister said.
She offered me this long string that was as tall as the oak tree I've been strapped in. It seems that it was tied to a branch all the way to its top.
She continued by saying:
"Did you know that if you would listen closely, we repmujs can sense different types of vibrations in the atmosphere around us?"
I never even knew we could do that!
"Come on Tina'e! We have to get back! You've been out in the moonlight for too long!"
"COMING! Goodnight brother. See you at dawn..." She lay a kiss on my cheek and began to ascend to the campsite.
And with those reassuring words from both the ladies, I was left here alone once more in the wilderness. Minutes passed and deep within the forest, I noticed a big pair of bright yellow eyes staring back at me. I anticipated for the creature to jump and gorge me down whole but later on, I found out that is was nobody else but my Dire Woltahx. And in his mouth, he had, once again, brought me some food to eat. Boy was I hungry. He gradually made his way toward me and settled his entire fluffy fur on my body. He always knew when I was cold. After that meal, we both drifted off into our dreams.
