Elijah's Viewpoint:

I am drained.

I'm parched.

And I'm absolutely starved.

My sister started drifting out of my view.

It wasn't her moving but me dozing off.

I tried it one more time:

"TINA'EEEEEEEEE-eee..."

I was cut short by a sudden grab of my neck.

"Say it one more time...

I D-A-R-E you!"

It was Nathas.

"If you want to see her alive... then you better listen carefully."

I finally have a chance to save her.

I will... I MUST!

"What is it you want?" I asked

"You tell me." He responded.

"You CAN'T!  You're putting her life in danger because of it!"

"And do I care?"

"You SELFISH BASTARD!!!"

He just smiled and laughed and while doing so he signaled the Satisins to start beating her up.

" NO!!!! DON'T!!!"

"AHHHHHHHHHH!!!-ARGHHHH!! ELY!!!! ELY PLEASE- TELL -TH-E-M TO -M-AKE I-T ST-OP!!

AHHHHHHHHHH ELY!!! PLEASE DO SOMETHING!!!"

Her cries echoed up to the sky.

I had no other choice....

"OK! OKAY! PLEASE... please... just stop hurting her......

I'll tell you... I'll tell you..."

Tears started rolling down my face. My eyes and mouth were very sore. I had to tell him.

"Okay... b-ut but promise me that you will stop hurting her..."

"I promise," He said.

"Close the ceiling then..." I commanded.

"You heard the young man! Do as he says!"

I've made the biggest mistake of my life.

But I made a promise.

I will keep her safe, even if it would mean my death.

Tina'e's Viewpoint:

I felt it... all of it.

Bit by bit, my flesh was ripping open and inside was a beautiful but yet morbid figure that I will yet have to see.

The feeling was unmistakeable, something was coming out of my skin.

Believe it or not, but it was beautiful.

It was a diamond.

Jumpers can actually live long but there's a catch.

"They must never be exposed to moonlight or else their life-force will be slowly drained away from them."

Mom always told me that.

I miss her, so much.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When we were born, we were instilled with five major diamonds.

They usually appear on both our hands, two on our back and one huge crystal inside our neck.

If those diamonds ever get exposed to the moonlight, you will experience an excruciating pain that you have never felt before. And if the last one, the middle, ever reveals itself, then you'll  pretty much know what happens next.

My neck was burning.

"My time has come." I said to myself.

In the background, I could vaguely hear my brother shout my name. He made it this far. I bet he still can. I tilted my head up a little bit and noticed that Elijah and Nathas were talking.

"No..." I thought to myself.

I knew that he would do it, but he can never be trusted. Even if I could muster all of my energy, it still wouldn't be enough.

Little did I know, the guards were now coming up to me. They started pushing down on my beaten body, where all the diamonds are positioned.

Mom was right... it was agonizing.

"AHHHHHHHHHH!!!-ARGHHHH!! ELY!!!! ELY PLEASE- TELL -TH-E-M TO -M-AKE I-T ST-OP!!

AHHHHHHHHHH ELY!!! PLEASE DO SOMETHING!!!"

All I could do was scream.

I couldn't even think. I screamed for countless minutes at the top of my lungs.

It seemed like hours, but fortunately they stopped.

My brother has been fooled.

To my surprise, I quickly became conscious of what was happening around me.

"The ceiling... it's back." I whispered to myself.

And as I glanced back down, Elijah has been looking at me, concern written all over his face, with a seemingly assuring smile that I knew.

He just kept smiling because  knew...

he was next.
