Derekyanu's Viewpoint:

I stood out at the balcony, my mind afloat. I needed some alone time and I needed to think. Everything that had happened was just too sudden for me.

"THINK!" I kept telling myself.
"Who could'v possibly envied my Mother? And who could've wanted her DEAD?!?"

My peaceful thinking was soon disrupted by another presence. I knew it was Uncle... It had to be.

"LEAVE ME BE DALE! I don't need any more of your problems!"

But surprisingly, the voice wasn't his. Instead, it was no other than our Medicine Man, Argoeux.

"I'm sorry if I'm not the person you were expecting, but... I need to tell you something."

"Please Argoeux, now might not be a good time..." I replied.

"But, but- ,he added, there's something I really need to- to tell you..." And then he just froze and with a serious tone continued:

"something about... your mother."

As soon as I was about to reply, one of the guards barged in our conversation and exclaimed:

"MY PRINCE! There's someone nearing the castle walls!!!"

"CAN'T YOU SEE WE'RE BUSY TALKING?!?!" I scolded back at him, annoyed.

"My prince, you might want to see this for yourself..."

With a deep and heavy sigh, I pointed to Argoeux and answered:

"We shall continue with this discussion later."

And with haste, we both followed him down to the barricades.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As soon as we have arrived, I couldn't believe what I had saw.

The other repmuj was now slowly limping, making his way towards the vicinity. I was quite certain if it was him. His looks couldn't have deceived anyone. The diamonds on his hands were as bold as ever, the marks on his back grew larger in size and his face...

-his horrendous face...was the last face my mother saw before she was killed!!!!

Any hope I had left has been replaced by disgust and hate. I can feel the desire burning deep down inside of me. The intention of ridding this person's existence out of the world was the only thing running through my mind. It had to be done for what was lost that night, I, alone could possibly regain. Her death meant my revenge... and this time...

I'm leaving no trace...

Argoeux's Viewpoint:

That morning, my eyes were literally coming out of its sockets. It has been a long and terrible night. I personally don't even deserve to rest at a time like this. I have to tell them sooner or later but, I just can't, not after she---she--

I quickly punched the door in front of me.

"Ow! ow! ow!!! UGHHHH! WHO AM I KIDDING?!?!

THIS WAS YOUR FUCKING FAULT!! WHY WERE YOU SUCH AN IDIOT?!?!" I shouted at myself.

From that point in my life, I knew that I had to let out a great, great amount of steam. Besides, I can't be seen looking like this; a total and absolute wreck.

"Aughhh, I need to get my mind of things. Maybe a quick trip to the kitchen will do me some good. That always helps." I explained to myself.

As I got up and fixed myself a bit, I let out a huge sigh and hesitantly opened the door handle. I left the room as a changed man, but my heart felt weak and weary. Things will never be the same again.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

By the time I got to the castle's cookery, I felt like my stomach gave-up on me. I didn't feel hungry at all, but a loud grumbling sound made me think otherwise. Maybe it was the fact that I was just too anxious to tell anyone or I was the one to blame for her death but either way, I can't bring her back. I realized that it was altogether my fault and I knew that I had to suffer the consequences of my actions. Telling Tina'e was painful enough as it is. I have to stop loosing what spirit I have left in me. I'm an old man after all.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

While I was standing there just contemplating about my life, it suddenly hit me. I saw a glimpse of Derek heading for the other direction. I'll finally have my chance, that is, if I can catch-up with him. From the looks of it, he looked like he was headed towards the mezzanine. With one last and huge sigh I said:

"Here goes. Better late than never." And with that, I made a beeline towards his direction.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Making my way to the vast and empty hallways of the castle, I was immediately forlorn to see him just standing out there. His shadow had cast an emotion so great that it felt like he was nothing but a lost soul, wandering through this earth, finding peace. And as I leaned in closer, I could hear him softly sobbing. This was definitely not the time, but as I was about to turn and leave when his stern voice startled me as he cried out:

"LEAVE ME BE DALE! I don't need any more of your problems!"

This was definitely the wrong time but I had to speak-up sooner.

"I'm sorry if I'm not the person you were expecting, but... I need to tell you something." I responded with a low and deep voice.

"Please Argoeux, he said, now might not be a good time."

"But, but- , I continued, there's something I really need to- to tell you...

"something about... your mother..."

My heart was now beating-off my chest. I was completely anxious. After that, I didn't know what else to say. Fortunately, a Sol guard began running towards our direction. I have hoped that the King might had have some luck with his search. And maybe, this was it.

With bated breath, the guard said:

"My prince, there's someone nearing the castle walls!!!"

"CAN'T YOU SEE WE'RE BUSY TALKING?!?!" Derek scolded back at him.

"Sir... he continued, you might want to see this for yourself."

With concern and great excitement written all over our faces, I knew that the prince couldn't resist. Suddenly, he pointed at me and added:

"We shall continue with this discussion later."

I definitely didn't like the sound of that, but later was better than now. And with that, we hurriedly followed him to the gates.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Because of my height, I could not see past all the heads and the armor. Since it was difficult, I decided to climb up a tree and take a better look for myself.

"I'm getting too old for this."

From the distance, I saw in what appears to be a white spot. But once I adjusted my line of sight, I started to cry my heart out.

"THANK SOL!!! MY QUEEN!!! YOU'RE ALIVE!!!! It's  A MIRACLE!!!"I screamed at the top of my lungs.

This was truly a blessing from the heavens. However, what I saw next, made my heart almost stop. The sight of Derek relentlessly squeezing the life out of his mother, was certainly not a sign of a good home-coming gift.
